Here are the following teams I feel have had huge let downs at this point of the NFL season:
Atlanta 1-6- We knew they would have issues at QB and with all the crap Vick left behind but no one knew how badly the team would play in positions that were supposed to be solid. When you hire an inexperienced pro coach it usually is hard to adjust when there are already major issues on and off the field.
St. Louis 0-7- This was supposed to be the QB's coming out year with his new contract. The RB has been hurt and the receivers shaky. A once proud offense looks old and a defense that has at least played hard; looks bad.
New Orleans 2-4- A team some said could have a shot at the SB and they may turn it around. This has been a bad start with a shaky overall start from the hope of the future Bush and usually solid QB.
Philadelphia 2-4- A classy coach and good QB who seem to come up short finishing games. There is still time but this has been a disappointing start to the team and fans.
Chicago 3-4- A team that has been feared for its defense who now looks questionable. The offense they do have has struggled. They may rebound but the return to the SB is unlikely.
Miami 0-7- Could this be there year that a team breaks their record with an undefeated season? Could this also be the year the team makes their own record with the worst season in team history. Trent is a good QB but old and beaten up. Hiring an inexperienced coach did not help with a team that has lost its passion and is in real trouble.
NY Jets 1-6- Last season was supposed to be a sign of a strong future but they have returned to the same old team loaded with questions and injuries. I know Herm is glad he is gone... They do a have a good coach but they have serious issues with weak positions on both sides of the ball.
Cincinnati 2-4- One of the teams I picked to win at least 12 games. They at this time will struggle to win 8. They could turn it around but it has been a mess. It could cost the coach his job if they miss the playoffs. This team is too talented to play this bad. They do have issues on defense.
Baltimore 4-3- Yes, it is a winning record but they should be allot better. Trust me- this is a bad start to a good program.
Minnesota 2-4- I guess it has been a let down but many knew they had real issues at several key positions. The brigt spot is at RB and if they can find a few players on defense and offense they can turn it around quick.
San Diego 3-3- This was the team with the best record last year and they fired the coach! 3-3 is not horrible but it is when you expected a 14 or 15 win season. The RB has been inconsistent on and off the field. They will probally turn it around but it is a shaky start.
What are your picks for teams who have not lived up to the preseason hype?
