So the cardinals lost their last two games in a way that only the cardinals can lose em. Either close or through boneheadedness... if that is a real word. But, at the bye we stand at 3-4, 2nd place in the NFC West. Not too much to worry about, we were 1-6 last yearat the bye, so we are much improved. But man, it would have been big to pull off that upset in Washington last week.
Neil Rackers found another way to choke when the game is on the line. Yeah granted it was a 55 yard field goal to win the game, but this guy has choked consistently after he signed that contract extension in 2005. And Rackers only had a great seaosn in 05 cus his kicks were made when the outcome of the game didnt even matter. This guy is no clutch kicker. Time and time again he has choked under pressure. Are we perhpas going to have to draft a kicker in the draft? Lol.
Well hopefully Warner can heal up this bye week along with a number of other players. The o-line has been riddled with injury this season. Mike Gandy who has been pretty solid this year injured his calf during the Redskins game and he hasnt been evaluated. Hopefully we will get word next week. Levi Brown seems to be doing better as he actually got playing time after missing 3 games this season. Aaron Francisco is listed as 3-4 weeks from injury to his leg. Anquan Boldin says he most likely wont be 100% at all this seasn, but it wont stop him from playing. Karlos Dansby is day-to-day with his injury.
Some refreshing news though. Calvin Pace has really stepped up his game in his OLB role. He had 9 tackles, 1 sack and 1 int against the skins. Yeah it is his contract year, but hopefully this is a genuine effort on his part trying to prove himself that he belongs in the league.
The running game has been cut drastically with the absence of Levi Brown on the o-line. Poor Edg cant find a hole to save his life. But when Levi did come back in the second half against the skins, Edge was gaining 5 yards a carry. Man we really need Levi to get healthy and start games.
In other news, I got a new job as a dreaded car salesman, lol. So I dont expect to be going to a lot of Cards games since weekends are pretty much mandatory in this business. But I got a good bunch of friends who love the Cardinals that I am willing to donate the tickets to. Thank goodness I have a hi-def DVR to record the games with. So I dont want to hear crap about scores when I get home, so I can watch it without spoiling it.
