I am officially impressed with Matt Ryan.

BC was getting shutout until 2 minutes left! C'mon, VT is not a defensive powerhouse. They will drop to at least 3 depending on what teams below them do.

They will stay at two, but I don't think they can run with the big boys (OSU, USC, Oregon, LSU....)

They won't drop to 3 (and they shouldn't....I thought the win showed guts on BC's part), but I will say this: BC is not the second best team in the country. Nonetheless, it looks like they have a pretty strong chance at the national title. @ Clemson looks like their biggest regular season threat from here on out, and of course there's the ACC Championship game as well (which could be a rematch with VA Tech).

Michigan state give OSU all they wanted...let me say that again..UNRANKED michigan state gives OSU all they wanted and it was a solid win for OSU. (of course minus the turnovers.) And OSU was at home.

I am tired. Listening to Larry's rants and propositions has wore me out. Good night gentleman and Larry. I hope by tomorrow morning the buzz from the BC victory will have worn off and you all will come to your senses that if the #3 team destroys their opponent, they should pass BC. Computers arent stupid you know. ;P

Maybe with an impressive Hawaii win, they move to #3 :P

Insomniac these two games were totally different. Ohio State had a grasp on the game from the beginning and honestly I never questioned it. If BC had played a team with a pulse on offense they would have lost. I am not impressed. I think everything should stay the same since they won, but no I don't think they could play with the Ohio State's, LSU's, and Oklahoma's of this season. Home or away.

I was just reading this on the way out the door, great work here NCAA Fanatic, I could not have said it better myself.

NCAA fanatic - my post was strictly hypothetical, and going along with the logic Cass was using. I understand they had it in had the whole time , and VT dominated.

But, it was only another int return away from going into OT.

It won't be a mess for another couple of weeks. It's not a mess right now. Cause if BC wins out (along with ACC Champ) they will be in no question. But tonight if they played any team in the top 100 offensive wise they would have lost.

And also one call comes to mind tonight. And I thought it was garbage. When it was 4th and 31 and there was that roughing the kicker call. You can't tell me that was a 15 yarder. I would accept a 5 yard penalty. But you could clearly see in the replay the Tech guy was trying to avoid him. That was when the tide turned for me anyway.

MIchigan State was never in that game....Two fluke plays, they scored 3 points on OSU, watch the game...

Again the two games are nothing alike. If BC played that way against OSU there is no way they get out of the stadium without giving up at least 3 touchdowns. And dont forget, there's no way they would get any points.

I know they are not a like, like I said earlier, I was comparing that game to the logic that Cassidy's House used in saying that BC should drop because they won in the last minute. Then the OSU guy took offense to that, and rambled on about how MSU wasn't in the game. Which I understand.

To my understanding BC wasn't in that game until the 4th quarter, much like MSU put 17 up in the 4th quater to make it a 7 point game - on fluke plays or not , they were 7 points away.

Furthermore, didn't OSU fumble after the kickoff on the second INT. return? MSU could have had the ball on the 30ish yard line with a chance to tie had they recovered it.

Lastly, i realize that the games are different, i was only comparing the logic that Cassidy's house used in saying that BC should drop. So, im not attacking Ohio State so just relax.
