I am going with something I have never seen done before in other tournaments for the seeding of this tourney.

In the past, I have seen multiple TD's (and tournaments) get ruined because the person who is supposed to start the TD come Monday (or whenever it starts) does so and the person they are "fighting" never responds.  They end up with an initial argument, 8 pages of comments and no rebuttal.

That sucks because:

1) If the person never responds, you have essentially ruined that topic and screwed the bracket.  The host can either find a replacement and a new topic (big hassle) or give the person a bye for the round (no fun for anyone).

 2) You get a delayed response and that person uses most of his argument using up comments that were said before he read the argument.  His "rebuttal" is actually made up of everyone else commenting down below.

So my solution is this:

1) Split the members into 2 groups.  One group will have guys who TD a lot or who are online all the time (from what I see).  This will be guys like Chosen, Yoda, Float, etc...

The other group will be the guys who joined the tourney and seem to have a lot of NHL passion/knowledge, but for whatever reason don't TD very much.

2) The people with limited TD experience will start the TD.  That way we see who is in this thing for real and who disappears, without wasting a topic and without seeing tons of comments before the TD even gets accepted.

If the argument isn't in by Tuesday morning, we get a sub to make up the challenge that day.  So... everyone be ready to get your topic and argue it on Monday.  If you don't have your arguments up by Tuesday morning, I will have your spot filled.

What do you guys think about going with Open TD voting, and all Group Members must comment in that TD why they are voting left/right. If the TD is 3 votes or fewer, we go by member voting?

being that hockey is like my 5th favorite sport and I dont do hockey throwdowns often I like the idea of the people in the tourney commenting on the throwdowns.... I figure that way I can get an idea as to how hockey guys on here think so it might help in future throwdowns
