Another week, another NFC North opponent, as the Eagles travel into the Dome to take on the Vikings.

The Vikings have a very respectable defense, that has been relied upon greatly to make up for the lack of offensive power. The Eagles will need to snap out of their offensive struggles and a tough Vikings defense, is not what the doctor ordered. McNabb, Brown and the offensive line will have to really step it up or this game could be more boring than last weeks game. Westbrook should be ready for another big game, but if his supporting cast doesn't step up the Vikings are good enough to key in on Westbrook and slow him down.

On defense, the Eagles face a terrible offensive team that relies completely on Adrian Peterson. This rookie RB is having a tremendous season and has carried the Vikings over the last few weeks. Loading up the box and stopping the run is all the Eagles need to do. Jackson or Holcomb don't scare anyone so the corners and safeties should be okay in single coverage, allowing the Eagles to focus on the run defense.

After a disappointing start to the season, the Eagles need this game, or this season is truely over. With games in the next few weeks against the Cowboys, @Redskins, Dolphins and then @ Patriot. this is a must win. Getting to 3-4 still gives the Eagles an outside chance. And then going 2-2 over there next 4 would put them at 5-6 and a easier final 5 games, could allow the Eagles at least back into the playoff hunt. But the Eagles need to start winning and their NFC East rivals need to start losing for that to happen.

This game is the season for the Eagles, if they can't beat a 1 dimensional team like the Vikings then there is no hope. The Eagles need to get the ball rolling this week, and to do that, the well paid members of this team (including the coaching staff) need to step up. The coaches need to manage the game, make the right calls and adjustments, and allow the Eagles to be successful. No more excuses the team is almost completely healthy, time to step up or step out.
