I couldn't get to Kinnick Saturday and had to settle for Dolfin and Podolak on the radio. They kept saying, we had to win to stay bowl eligible and I'm thinking; "bowl elibigle" ?? We can barely move the ball on offense and they're talking bowl games? Well, that's the crazy world of college football.

Down 17-3, people leaving the stadium to go back to the tailgates and drown their sorrows, TV's smashed, radios thrown to the ground and stomped on, then something changed. Folks say it was Ferentz going ballistic on the refs at the end of the first half. The players say it was Albert Young in the locker room telling everyone to follow him because we are going to run the ball. I don't know what happened. But Iowa came roaring back in the second half to grab a 34-27 double OT win!

Ferentz is right when he says "we aren't the prettiest car on the lot, but we got a strong engine."

A bowl game is a possibility at this point with Northwestern, Minnesota, and Western Michigan left on the schedule. They are all winnable games. They are also all losable as well.

Take a tip from Charles Godfrey. We will all need to pray for some divine intervention if we want to continue our season beyond those three games. Don't forget to ask for an end to the non-stop injuries!
