Hope that the Yanks are serious about not pursuing A-Rod since he opted out. If he does not want to be a Yankee (never sat down with the team) then let him go.

 I don't believe that A-Rod will get the $30 mill that he wants - although he could justify it on a business case - since I don't believe that there are enough players to bid him up to that level.

 He will end up in Anaheim since they have a cable network they are building and the owner wants to take the LA market from the Dodgers.

 A-Rod will get paid just not as much as the $140m 5 year estension Yanks were reportedly offering
