Regardless of what the investigation of the incident turns up, Ryan Perrilloux gets axed at the end of this season. With Les Miles at the helm, there is very little wiggle room for disciplinary infractions, and seeing as how this is his third incident since becoming a Tiger, I don't see Miles backing down. So what does this mean for our Tigers? Well, it means much fewer offensive options against Alabama and possibly against all opponensts for the rest of the season. Just the threat of having Perrilloux and Holiday on the field running the option out of the pistol formation is enough to make defensive coordinators shiver. That threat has been temporarily (or possibly permanantly) been put to rest. Good news for the future of L.S.U. is though, this leaves the upcoming recruiting season wide open for quarterbacks. While some top recruits may have balked at the idea of waiting their turn behind Perrilloux, many will now reconsider since they have a real chance of starting as a true freshman. While this might not bode well for L.S.U. in the next few years, it could elevate the offense to unstoppable in a few years since Tolliver, Byrd, Williams, Scott, and Holiday will all still be around.
