Well, I meant to do this when the flurry of "My First Ten TDs" blogs were being posted left and right; but due to school and other circumstances (as well as just being blog-lazy) I was unable to get to it.  BUT I've finally gotten around to it!!!!  So, I'm going to list my first ten throwdowns as well as a bit of a description.  Also, when I first started to throwdown the arguments were actually HELD to 500 characters and so it was MUCH tougher to make arguments and you REALLY need all three of those arguments.  My first throwdown actually came four months after I had joined due to the throwdown section NOT working when I first arrived upon FanNation.  But onto the throwdowns (comments are appreciated):

1) The Dallas Cowboys will win the NFC East (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/2344) against Mowbray ValenciaDucks.  I won 10-21 and used up every one of my 1,500 total characters (of three 500 character arguments).  Also, this guys grand first argument was (and I quote), "Tony Romo.  That's it!"  [sarcasm]Beautifully crafted don't you think?[/sarcasm].  Anyway, if you want to read more into this throwdown go ahead and follow the pretty blue link...

2) chad johnson is the best wr (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/2765) against koop.  This guy didn't even give a first argument (and with my newly acquired 1,200 characters) I tore into him in my second throwdown ever.  He submitted his next argument and then forfeited awhile later.  Fun fact: He had a GRAND total of THREE words in TWO arguments.  Yeah, this one wasn't much of a challenge and I won 3-17.  There really isn't much of interest to check out.

3) Joe Montana is the greatest QB of all time (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/2804) against gobama.  This could be the GREATEST throwdown I've EVER participated in.  This throwdown was insane and I STILL feel my argument owned his as he continued to use things I had already disproved or countered well.  But this TD was STILL amazing.  I REALLY suggest reading NOT only the arguments, but the comments.  Unfortunately it ended in a 20-20 tie...a win just falling from my grasp and my winning streak of 2 ending.

4) The Giants will win the NFC East next year (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/4144) against gbo.  Yes, another NFC East related throwdown, but what can I say?  This guy put up a bit of a fight, but just DIDN'T make sense with his arguments and I won handily 4-20.  This one is worth more of a look than number two.

5) Lebron was the better pick than Carmelo or Wade (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/4204) against League of Shadows.  This could have been the ONLY throwdown where I was nervous about losing by big points.  I was going to be arguing a topic I knew next to NOTHING about...and the ONLY reason I was in it was because of the now defunct Throwdown Warriors Tournament.  I truly had NO idea what I was talking about and just went with the "he's got a ring" argument.  I felt somewhat bad for LoS who seemed to know what he was writing...but as I said in the throwdown: basketball is NOT my forte.  I won 13-23 (this is definitely worth a read).

6) Adam "Pacman" Jones should be suspended from the NFL (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/6097) against byd_racer.  I won this with relative ease 40-22 (and would have won by more had he not gained three or so meaningless votes in the last few hours).  Anyway, this was the second round of the TWT and after this I was on my way to the TWT Championship against AdamLee.  Speaking of AdamLee...

7) The Dallas Cowboys are a bigger dynasty than the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/8367) against AdamLee.  Now this is probably the second best throwdown I've ever participated in (maybe even 1b) and I lost by ONLY 6 votes (40-34).  This throwdown was tough and is DEFINITELY WORTH reading.  If you want to read what a REAL throwdown is supposed to be, check this one out.

8) Falcons on the Uprise (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/10836) against KPSaints.  After his first argument he never came back so I won this one by forced forfeit, but the votes STILL favored me 3-25.  Read into it if you want as I made a solid first argument.

9) Redskins will not make the playoffs (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/13441) against Peavyfan.  This was back in the day when PeavyFan was a dick who was just here to annoy people (but, obviously, has progressed beyond his original mission).  I won this with little to no opposition 4-13.  I made stellar arguments even as my opponent did nothing but insult me (and others).

10) PIZZA IS THE PEYTON MANNING OF FOOD (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/14494) against Coletrain.  This was originally just something we'd do every couple of days to see how long it would last before a mod deleted it, but this one lasted...and I guess for good reason as this time we ACTUALLY talked about sports in it.  If you are looking for something to lighten your mood just take a gander at this (I did win 15-17...if you can call it winning).

FINAL RECORD: 8-1-1

Some throwdowns that I feel were some of the BEST I've done followed these opening ten.  Take a look at them if you're interested (these are the HIGHLIGHTS):

- On offense in the NFL, the running back is generally the easiest position to fill (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/15060) against AirforceBat

- A great tight end can create more mismatches than a great wide receiver (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/15415) against AirforceBat.  Note: I misread the topic of this throwdown, yet I still won by a single vote...man I sold that.

- Best front 7 in the AFC (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/43556) against mattmillen4president.

- Packers-Bears is the greatest NFL rivalry (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/51047) against Bombers.

- Byron Leftwich should be the Jaguars' starter over David Garrard and Quinn Gray (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/15166) against Jagsfan32.  Note: I should have won this and I ended up being right (though I personally felt they should have gone after Culpepper).

No wonder you do so well- I only get 1200 characters

1,500 total from the THREE arguments...

that first TD's arguments were actually limited to 500.
