I'm being bold, but I believe that I can correctly predict who will make the playoffs, what seed they will be, and who will win each series all the way through the World Series. I'm not going to back anything up here. Just posting my predictions. I'd love it if anyone reading this would post their complete predictions like I do. It would be cool with little over a month to play to see who can get it right! I think I got it but I'm sure many people will disagree. In the breakdown below I refer to the wildcard spot as the fourth seed. Here goes...
1. Philadelphia DEFEATS 3. San Fransisco
4. Atlanta DEFEATS 2. Cincinnatti
1. Philadelphia DEFEATS 4. Atlanta
1. New York DEFEATS 3. Texas
4. Tampa Bay DEFEATS 2. Minnesotta
1. New York DEFEATS 4. Tampa Bay
New York Yankees DEFEAT Philadelphia Phillies in seven games.
A little side note. As an Astros fan I am loving watching the young guys play very well in Houston, and hope to see them climb above .500 to end the season. Then, we'll have to wait and see when next season rolls around and they have something to play for, and thus more pressure on them when the season opens. I am also excited because I think former Astro Lance Berkman face will off against fellow former 'Stros Roy Oswalt and possibly Brad Lidge in the World Series, provided he keeps getting on base in September and plays well in the playoffs. Why? Well, the NL has homefield advantage, and Roy would most likely start one of the three games at Yankee stadium as the Phils will almost undoubtably use a four man rotation. Berkman will only face would only face Oswalt if the Wizard starts a game in. NYC -- that's the only way Lance is going to see him, as he'll just be a DH or pinch-hitter unless Texeira is injured.
So who thinks I'm an idiot, who thinks I'm right on and who's somewhere in the middle? Just a friendly pick 'em here. Let me know who is going all the way this year, and how you think my picks stack up.
