Last Night was the opening night in the NBA as you all probably know.
Each week I will be doing a weekly analysis on how teams are doing in the NBA. I will also do a blog posting my daily NBA power rankings. I will also do that for the NFL. That will be my ext blog post. Anyways, back to the NBA season opener.
The San Antionio Spurs looked strong in there 106 - 97 rout of the Portland TrailBlazers. It was a good night for you Fantasy owners if you picked Tim Duncan or Ginobli.
Tim Duncan scored 24 points, 13 Rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block.
Ginobili had 16 points (4-of-11 FG, 1-of-5 3-PT, 7-of-8 FT), eight assists, five steals, three rebounds and a block in the Spurs' win over the Blazers.
The Houston Rockets beat the Lakers by 2 points in there 95 - 93 win on Tuesday Night. You wouldn't of thought the Laker's lost, with the way that Kobe Bryant was playing. Kobe had 45 points, 18 of those coming in the fourth quarter, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 4 steals. Yao Ming also had a good night. He had 25 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks. he also had 1 steal. Kobe proved that his performance is not going to be affected by what the media is saying about the trade rumors.
Now for the final game that took place on Opening Night. The Utah Jazz did not have a problem with the Golden State Warriors, handing them a 117 - 96 loss. Carlos Boozer had 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 1 assist. He had no steals or blocks. Baron Davis had a huge night. He had 25 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.
Final Thought - The Spurs look to have a promising season after they beat the Trail Blazers. The Lakers seem to be heading in the right direction with Kobe Bryant, but will they be heading in the right direction with their season. Maybe all the media hype surrounding Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will get them off to a good start.
