The Kevin Kolb era started when he was drafted by Philadelphia early in the second round in 2007. Kolb was drafted in the same class as Aaron Rodgers, who is leading the Packers after life without Brett Farve. When Aaron excelled at quarterback in Green Bay, the Eagles fans were growing tired of Donovan Mcnabb and the Eagles obliged eventually decided to trade Donovan to the Eagles. Where Philadelphia fans were hoping he would post similar numbers to that of Aaron Rodgers. This left Michael Vick lost in the shuffle, as he was more of a utility player last year after the dog-fighting scandel was finally resolved. Vick has gone on record saying he wants to start for any NFL team that will let him, but Kevin Kolb was supposed to be the franchise quarterback, to help lead the Eagles after Mcnabb, leaving Vick to becoming the second string quarterback. Then Kevin Kolb gets concussed by Clay Matthews when Matthews sacked Kolb.
Enter Michael Vick in a game where the Eagles were down by 11 and after a fumble by Eldra Buckley, Vick came back in to the game down 17 points. Vick determined then put together a scoring drive everytime the offense came on the field. Vick had a game high in rushing with just over 100 yards, and finished with almost 300 yards of combined offense. Vick then went on the record saying " I feel like if I had benn out there for four quarters, maybe we would have a chance to win the game." If Kolb can't play Michael Vick just might have that starting job sooner then he might have anticiapted. Kolb could miss next week against the Lions, and Vick would indeed have four quarters to play and make his case to the Eagles as a starter.
