Week 10 ACC Predictions | The Chief Speaks

Have you ever had a week where you just can't seem to get motivated? If so, you know just what my week has been like. Since I've waited til the last minute, I'm doing a quick run-through of my predictions this week.

Last week I went 4 & 1, with my loss coming with Virginia's stumble to NC State. My record after the first 9 weeks is 47 & 22...a 68% success rate.

Now for this week's predictions...

Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech = VT. VT has a couple of things in their favor this week. Not only are they coming off a last minute loss to Boston College which should motivate them a bit, but they're also catching Georgia Tech with both of their top tailbacks (Tashard Choice & Rashaun Grant) out due to injuries. On the other hand, with the Hokies ranked nationally at 113th in total offense, it may not take many points for the Yellow Jackets to get ahead.

FSU @ Boston College = FSU. I promise I'm not just saying this because I'm a Nole fan. I just see this as the perfect set-up for the underdog to spoil the perfect season. The Noles know that all hopes of a conference title championship are out the window, so they really have nothing to lose at this point. The Eagles on the other hand have not only the ACC title to think about, but also the National Championship.

Clemson @ Duke = Clemson

Wake Forest @ Virginia = Wake Forest. After throwing confidence in the direction of the Cavs last week, I'm through. Riley Skinner and the Deacons should win this one with ease. Should.

NC State @ Miami = Miami

Maryland @ North Carolina = Maryland

Yo, don't give up on UVA...it'll be a tough game, but I have faith in my Wahoos.
I'm with you on FSU knocking off BC--anything that derails them, works for us. (And that means GT derailing VT, as well; CAN'T have them (VT, I mean) screwing up OUR trip to the ACC title game!!!)
