This one will be short, sweet, and to the point. Notre Dame will win, and I'm going to tell you why.
1. Navy's Pass Defense: The Midshipmen gave up 434 passing yards last week TO DELAWARE! I guess that could be because they don't defend against it in practice, or maybe they don't have the right personnel. Delaware had some long drives against Navy. I think Sharpley could easily regain his pose when he plays the abysmal Navy defense.
2. Notre Dame After Bye Weeks: I don't know the exact stat, but I know Notre Dame is around 10-1 after bye weeks in the past 11 years. Sure, history doesn't win football games. If it did, Notre Dame, Yale, and Army would be competing for the number one spot. However, this shows that no matter who the coach, Notre Dame always uses the two weeks well.
3. James Aldridge and Robert Hughes: I'm tired, so this is my last one. James Aldridge missed the Southern Cal game, and it showed. Notre Dame didn't try to establish the run because they didn't have a bruiser. Another one of their running backs, Robert Hughes, had a family tragedy when his brother was murdered. It sounds like he will play. Expect him to play inspired.
