If you're like me you tuned the game out after the first quarter. It was disgusting. Another case of Iowa unable to move the ball. It was like you when you were 10 years old trying to learn a dance step. 1-2-3- punt, 1-2-3-punt, it was sickening. Jake Christensen couldn't have looked any worse. The closer the receiver was to him, the worse he missed him.
Then once again they came out after half-time like a different team.
I don't think I have ever seen such a Jekyll and Hyde performance as this team turns in every week. I'm not talking week to week. I'm talking quarter to quarter. The Hawkeyes absolutely could do nothing on offense then the next thing you know they are moving the ball at will.
I guess that's what you get when half the players who have hit the field in the last two weeks have been freshmen or red-shirt freshmen! Yes, that's what I said! Incredible, isn't it!
The really incredible part of Hawkeye football is that they could be going bowling again. They are now five and five overall. Needing one win out of the next 2. With Minnesota and Western Michigan remaining, you've got to think one win is a lock. Well, it is and it isn't.
Anyway, congratulations to the Hawks. Next two weeks are huge.
Go Hawks!!
