Vikings land Moss
All Minnesota Vikings fans and Brett Favre fantasy owners are doing the jig right now. The Vikings are back in the driver's seat to win the NFC North. The biggest loser in the Moss trade to the Vikings is the Green Bay Packers. Teams can no longer put 8 in the box to stop Adrian Peterson any more. All Viking opponents have to now worry about the deep threat, which will open up running lanes for AP. Brett Favre no longer has to watch balls bounce off of his receivers hands, he can now throw the ball to the most prolific receiver the game has seen since Jerry Rice. With the addition of Moss and the return of Sidney Rice looming around week 8 or 9, the Vikings went from having the worst receiving corps in the NFL to the best.
The Vikings may not come back to win the NFC North, but they will make the playoffs and they will be a force in the post season. Moss will have plenty of time to play, with the Vikings bye week passing and the Patriots not until week 10, Moss will play out the rest of the season on the field. Adrian Peterson will lead the NFL in rush yards the last 12 games of the season, and Favre will emerge as a pro bowl quarterback once again. This trade is the worst nightmare for the Packers and Bears who for a short time passed the Vikings as the cream of the crop in the NFC North. A re-energized Viking team will run the Jets off the field this weekend, and insert themselves as the team to beat in the NFC!
