~Redefing what a tournament means~

Welcome to the Fall Classic. The tournament is unique in the way that the format is handled. For those of you who may remember the SummerSlam Tournament, that format was set-up as a World Cup-style. For the Fall Classic, it will be similar to the College Baseball World Series format.

What is this format? Groups of four will be put together under one umbrella of a topic (NFL, NHL, MLB, etc). From there, the groups will be a Double-Elimination Round-Robin bracket. Each person is garenteed at least 3 throwdowns. Of those 3, at least 2 will be of the umbrellad topic. Once we get the tournament full, more will be explained. At this moment, the following people have joined:

At the moment, I would like 16 people.16 and 32 are golden numbers (meaning that the winners of the group will advanceand that will be all). However, if we fall between 16 and 32, adjustments will be made in the next round.

The tournament is scheduled to start the weekend following Columbus Day, meaning that cut-off for registration will be Friday, October 15 at 11:59:59 PM.

Thanks. Right now, it looks like I will be doing seasonal ones (so quarterly) all with different group formats. In the future, there may be a full double elimination bracket.
