And we lose one...but only one in the last 2 years.this week will be a step in the right direction.....we hope...
The alabama football program took a step backward in our drive for back to back championships, but all is not lost.were just gonna need a little help....lets look at what we need this week.
FIRST and FOREMOST Alabama has to take care of Ole Miss in harsh fasion..sorry Ole Miss fans but we need to run the score up,totaly dominate this game, and win back some of the voters. It is Alabama football fresh in the minds of all that vote and you will be surprised what a dominate win will do here..many will be quick to write the Bama loss to S.C. off as a "Well they slipped but I knew Bama was better than that"..and hop on a Alabama is gonna charge back and put it's self in the title hunt bandwagon..makes for great headlines...no,it's not fair but its true....but we MUST win and win big...
NEXT...
# 1 Ohio State plays AT # 18 Wisconsin....an upset here would go a LONG way to help put another big glass football in our reach...this is really the only shot at a loss I feel OSU has...and unless they fall our road is gonna be tuff..all we have to do is end up at #2 in the final BCS poll (ha and the 1st is not even out yet)...but yes a loss by Ohio St helps a TON.

next too look at is Oregon and UCLA ...eh Oregon is at home and well UCLA kinda sucks..BUT....(yes there is a but)..UCLA did beat Texas...so there is hope for an upset here and a 1 loss Oregon will not make it to the big dance...

another big opportunity this week comes if Texas rights the ship and removes Nebraska as an undefeated team...
in a perfect world we see OSU,Oregon and Nebraska lose...all would drop to 9th or worse...Auburn beats Arkansas..(yes I bleed crimson and utterly HATE Auburn, but sometimes you have to pull for the bigger picture)..

that would give us an AP poll standing of

#1 Boise State
#2 TCU
#3 Oklahoma
#4 Auburn
#5 Alabama

EVEN BETTER...it would 'most likley'...give us a 1st BCS poll of

#1 Auburn
#2 Oklahoma
#3 Alabama
#4 Boise State
#5 Ohio State

based on computer numbers TCU will be hard pressed to make the top 5 ....the Auburn/Oklahoma could go ither way...now remember thats in a perfect world givin 3 upsets in the top 10 this Saturday.

my prob outlook for Alabama in the first BCS poll this week has them at #6 or #7 but ....if we win out...with Auburn,LSU and the SEC championship game still too play..a loss by any of the top 5 and it's an ..EASY EASY climb up to the 2nd spot in the BCS

Here's the thing. In NCAAF it's just win, baby. Losing just results in what if games. In the NFL you have my Bears at 4-1 but many naysayers who would say the Packers and Cowboys, who they beat, are better teams. In College, one loss can wreck a season.

. Above, you want it all in one week. Possible, but not probable. Root for TCU and Boise - the schools that deserved better last year.

lol as stated in my blog description "Alabama football from a rather bias standpoint...Roll Tide"...I truly dont care about the pac mac or wac off teams or how short of a stick they end up with at the end of the year.IMO ...TCU is only a few steps from being a good team...but givin a full SEC plate they would be lucky to end the year at 7 and 5... and Boise is in the same boat....I tell you what lets lok at what the mighty TCU and Boise did last year when they were so badly treated by the mean old BCS system...

TCU
hey they beat 2 top 25 teams..both were ranked 16th ..

and...
BOSIE...wow other than TCU they beat ONE top 25 team..as fate would have it also ranked 16th

Alabama played #1 #2 #7 #9 #20 #22 AND BEAT EVERY ONE OF THEM..

lets look at this year...

TCU
so far has played #24 ...and still have #23 and #11 to go...wow..3 top 25 teams..no top 10 teams at all (better than no top 15 teams last year I guess)

Bosie
#10 and # 24 and # 19 to go.. woohoo they beat a top 10 team...oh wait the top 10 power house was Virginia Tech who went on to lose to James Madison and fall from the top 25 =/

now Alabama has played and beat #18 #10 #7 lost to #19 and still has #9 and #7 to play PLUS if we win out a rematch with sec east champ that will be ranked in the top 10..

when TCU and Bosie play real teams then talk about what they "Deserve"...they are gettin more than the are worth already.

and no TCU nor Bosie has ever played Alabama in a bowl game...

People that root for the BCS cinference schools think their crap doesn't stink, but look who came from smaller schools in the NFL: QB's - Flacco, Rothlesberger, Favre, Bradshaw to name a few.

lmao oh and as for you "little schools" the sec alone has produced Eli Manning (Giants), Peyton Manning (Colts), JaMarcus Russell (Raiders), Brodie Croyle (Chiefs), Jason Campbell (Washington), Jake Cutler (Broncos)......plus Alabama has sent first round draft picks of Harry Gilmer Clarence Avinger Bobby Marlow Lee Roy Jordan Joe Namath Leslie Kelley Dennis Homan John Hannah Wilbur Jackson Richard Todd Bob Cryder Ozzie Newsome Barry Kraus Marty Lyons Don McNeal E.J. Junior Mike Pitts Emanuel King Jon Hand Cornelius Bennett Derrick Thomas Keith McCants Eric Curry George Teague John Copeland Antonio Langham Dwayne Rudd Fernando Bryat, Shaun Alexander

TCU has had 12 first round picks in school history

lmao..your the one making this a "battle"...all I said was TCU and Boise st don't play any real schools...a point well known...and if Alabama wins out your little friends will be left out of the big dance again..sure some great players come fron little non BCS schools...but they are not there now nor are the gonna get TCU or Bosie a BCS Championship game bid if there is a one loss Alabama to choose from.. you don't have to like it you just have to deal with it my friend....oh and your comment of ......"Didn't the president write a letter to the NCAA asking the group to have TCU play Boise last year so Bama could win the national title?" ....if so then guess what...THEY DID IT AND ALABAMA WON THE NATIONAL TITLE....point in hand...TCU and Bosie St may be good football teams but with the just over highschool teams they play it don't count for crap... =) oh and on a closing note...how many titles has you little schools won???? we got us a bunch of em...a whole big ole bunch and if run the table we will have us one more while you little schools play in the bowls that are ...well just not where the championships are won at =)
