I absolutely love college football with a passion. I also love the NFL, but i think i like the College game a little more. I love the spirit in the crowd, the atmosphere of the student sections and the controversy at the end of each season for who should play in the National Championship.
No, this is not a protest to the NCAA to change their BCS Syestem through a blog, but rather the in-game situations of what I would personally like to see more of in the great College game.
For some odd reason, I have a mad obsession with old school football. Im not talking about the leather helment days but more of the late '70s early '80s days of Woody and Bo. Those two teams are what I love about football. Tough defense and pound the ball down your throat on offense. I do not know why, but it seems like more and more teams, in College Football and NFL are just trying to out-throw each other. Its all about out scoring the other team. Its just an old western shoot-out. To be honest, I cant stand that. I would like to see more of what Navy does. Double Wing, triple option. Or, pound the ball. Eat up the clock and keep the ball out of the other teams hands. Everyone loves Texas Tech and Hawaii's passing game but lets see some SEC and Big Ten teams get back to that old school style of play. Im not the biggest Navy fan in the world, espically after what they did to Notre Dame, but Navy just outplayed the Irish on the field and Paul Johnson outcoached Charlie Weis. I think we need some more of old school Ohio State, Michigan and mid-'90s Nebraska with Tommie Frazier.
I dont know how you feel about this, but I want to see some more blood and gut runners on blood and gut teams. Right now, I love Brad Childress and Adrian Peterson. A ROOKIE has the NFL's most rushing yards in a game. We need more backs like Peterson. More old school teams.

I can't seem to even have the attention span for NFL games on TV this season. They are four and a half hours long because of commercials, the QB situation collectively is horrible, and plus I'm an Oakland fan. College football on the other hand rules and I can't get enough of it even with the problems of the BCS.
