So the season is halfway through and we already have 2 coaches fired. Minnesota and North Texas were the first to give out the good ol' pink slip. Everyone is already starting to make noise over who should be hired at Minnesota. I would hold out if I was a coach looking to jump.

Who should Minnesota make a strong push for? Lou Holtz is not a good choice. The game has passed him by and he barely belongs in ESPN GAMEDAY studio. Tony Dungy is loving working for the NFL and does not want to have to deal with 19 and 20 year old kids. Mike Leach would be a good fit because he made the most of a bad situation in Texas Tech and got alot out of lower Talent.

If I was Mike Leach I would look into the North Texas Job. Use it as a stepping stone to get back into the BCS. Leach has ties to Texas and all those parts around the North Texas campus so recruiting wont be a big problem. His air raid offense can make small under sized players like Wes Welker turn into NFL studs.

Out of all the names being mentioned Leach would be the best. He is weird and does things his own way but its fun to watch and he will bring a passion back to North Texas that is missing.

My battle cry: "MIKE LEACH FOR NORTH TEXAS"

SIDE NOTEBaylor is one win away from going to a bowl game. With their next game up against Kansas State they could get it. K-State has been solid except in one game vs. a fast Nebraska QB. Robert Griffin for Baylor is a very fast QB and could make things interesting all game long. Baylor has not been bowling since 1994 and the drought could end here. I am cheering for them. On a SUPER SIDE NOTE, Baylor has a pretty campus and it should be visited sometime if you are ever in the area. I ended up going to their campus because I once got lost on my way back from Texas A&M campus.

You heard it here first, Jim Harbaugh will be the new head coach for the Michigan Wolverines next year. Baylors campus is nice too bad it is in the middle of the ghetto.

If Rich Rod loses out then yeah he will be the new coach....I bet Jim is just waiting for the right time to pounce on the michigan job...if he can turn Stanford into a winner then he can turn around any program! Michigan will welcome him with arms wide open...! Rich Rod will win a big one to keep him in the good grace of michigan fans!

Could this Rumior be true? Phil Fulmer at West Virginia? I heard he turned down the job at Minnesota because of the WV job coming open after this season, probably not true we will be stuck with Stewart until he and Mullins destroys Mountaineer football.
