Top College Baseball Catchers for 08 | College Baseball 08's Blog

This is the first of my break down of who are the top college baseball players in the country. Through out the week, I will be posting these rankings by position (Middle Infielders are grouped together). Then when the season starts, these rankings are going to be updated twice a month. Also, after the season starts, I will have short write ups of some of these players. I know some people will agree with these rankings and other won't. I will even state that this is very hard to do and almost impossible to be 100% right. You are going to miss on some players but I still hope and think I do have one of the best player rankings around. The first one is going to be the top 15 catchers in the country.

Take a good look at the alfonso kid from louisville. He has a 300 avg over the last three years. He has thrown out better than 40 percent of runners trying to steal against him 3 straight years. Last year he threw out a ridiculous 31 out of 60. If he played in california, texas, or florida he would go high in the draft. He gets absolutely no publicity. He is a big reason louisville made it to the college world series last year. Just take a look at what he has done. I can;t find a catcher anywhere who has thrown out over 40 percent of runners 4 straight years. He will. Thanks
