The NE Patriots vs Buffalo Bills game has been moved to Suunday Night football in Two weeks.

I realize that this has more to do with the Patriots undefeated season than with the Bills, but i still have to believe that this wouldnt have happened if the Bills weren't a team on the rise. Winning 3 in a row, 4 out of 5, and being highly competitive in both the Dallas monday night and Denver opening day games, shows that these aren't the same old Bills anymore.

Now, does that mean i think the Buffalo Bills have a great chance to win? Of course not, even the most optimistic of Bills fans are hoping we can stay in the game long enough for a minor miracle to happen at the end, but what i do think is that NBC is hoping this game won't be a blowout, and that the much improved Bills secondary will be able to at least contain New England for long enough for the game to be exciting.

Plus, with JP losman throwing it around the field like he did last sunday (290 yards and a touchdown), Lee Evans being the Lee Evans of old (165 yrds, 1 td) and Marshawn Lynch continuing to be the strong presence the offense needs (153 yrds, 1 td), I think NBC has to be thinking that the Bills offense is at least explosive enough to be able to keep up with New Englands' for a half or more.

So well at this point no, I dont think the Bills will win this game, I believe NBC, and the city of Buffalo, believe this game will be far more competitive than expected.

Wow,i did not know that, but it should be a good game.I know one thing being a Pat's fan i am getting the screws put to me on my Sunday Ticket subscription because this will be the 3rd game in a row that is on regular television. They should give me some money back.

Plus the fact that its a division game with the Bills on the rise, a very good reason to use their new scheduling rule and show NBC some love for paying all that money for the Sunday night games. People want to watch the Pats. The Colts/Pats game was the highest rated regular season game ever. Alot of that had to with the rivalry and Colts being defending SB champs, but most of it had to do with the Pats being billed as a once in a lifetime team. Now we have to wait until 8:30 to see the game!

AFC East battles are always tricky. Miami is usually the spoiler, but you have to admire Buffalo's resourcefulness. Patriots will win big I think, but I expect Buffalo to make it competitive for at least 20-30 minutes.

It will be a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better game than Ten-Den would have. Ten-Den would have been a 9-6 snoozer.

November 6, 2007  03:17 PM ET

Oops! Thats the Monday game, BUT even better would be to avoid what would of been the Sunday nighter, the Bears at Seattle=ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

November 6, 2007  03:17 PM ET

Ten-Den will still be a 9-6 snoozer, FYI

Buffalo does worry me, Larry. The only team in the division to do that.

Oh cmon Trace, those fish really wanna squish you guys!

November 6, 2007  04:05 PM ET

I could really see the Bills giving the Patriots a great challenge

November 6, 2007  04:14 PM ET

The fish won't do it. I'm going to be at the game and the Pats are 7-0 when I show up hehe.

That stretch dates back to 1994.

You should be going to the rest of the seasons game then, Nikolai!

Buffalo has gelled more. They've integrated their backups quite well, and their defense has performed well enough to allow the offense to open up. It's enough to give them hope for success. I don't expect a win, but I don't expect a 38-7 shellacking, either.
