For example, Thanksgiving Day football has grandma's sweet potato pie, collard greens, neck bones and corn bread. (if you don't know, you really need an old black grandmother from Mississippi to cook for you). The NBA Finals merits barbecue ribs, potato salad, and macaroni & cheese. March Madness is catfish and turnip greens. (HUGE difference between those and collards). World Series is lasagna and red Kool-Aid. Rose Bowl, if Michigan is playing, corn and blue raspberry lemonade to signify what the team they are playing will do to them. (That was a maize and blue joke, people) Really though, fried chicken, Stuffed Crust pizza (meat lovers) and cheese sticks. Browns-Steelers games, dirty rice w/ sausage, green beans, and beer fries. Ohio State-Michigan, no one moves until it hits 0:00. Wimbeldon is cheesy grits, bacon, eggs and hash browns. The Masters (which I will only watch with my father, grandfather, or uncles) is lamb chops and garlic mashed potatoes. The World Cup, is suprisingly big in our house. My mother's side is from Ghana originally, so we went BUCKWILD when they beat the USA. Plus, I have a lot of Jamacian and Brazilian friends, plus my girlfriend is Mexican, so I eat what they eat. Spring Training is fried bologna and Kool-Aid with not enough sugar. Tell me what you like to eat for each sporting event.
