FanNation

Keeping It Real is about being honest with yourself more than anything else. If you're honest with yourself, you'll be honest with others. It's a simple premise, at least on the surface; however it's a difficult task, especially when we get caught up in intellectual and emotional battles with others. Even then, if you stop and think about it, how one thinks and acts is more about them than someone else. People can't make us act a certain way. We choose to respond.

Of course we're going to feel a variety of emotions but it's not about what you feel it's about how you feel and what you do with the feelings. That's where the real challenge is within all of us. It's up to you (us) to keep it real and manage all of these things. It requires some real thinking and even soul searching.

So, why did I start this group and why do we seek and want very specific members? On this website I see so many people acting out of raw emotion. That's when I lose interest in the person and the throwdown itself. It's at that point that I see people taking desperate measures to make their point. They insult others, cheat, lie, etc... I think most of us have seen and experienced most of it if not all of it.

This group is not a perfect group. It's not a group that does not make mistakes. It's not a group that has all the answers. It's a group where certain people can come together and discuss a wide array of topics and ultimately revolve those topics around FanNation and everything that comes with being a member (good and bad). It's a place for fair and balanced discussions. It's a place to come when you want and need to Keep It Real.

It's my hopes that we develop a large authentic membership. It's my desire to have people come here for encouragement. I want it to be a place that one feels free to vent their frustrations but in a healthy and safe environment where one member is dedicated to helping the other.

For now, I'll end here but feel free to invite fellow FanNation members to "our" group. It will be my goal and objective to make it and keep it a place (group) that promotes and guides people to Keeping It Real and doing the right thing (as outlined above). With your help, I'm sure "we" can do it.

It may sound a bit too serious but it's also about having fun and being able to laugh at ourselves and others.
