In day 6 of my predictions, I went 3-1 on a quiet Sunday for hockey. I wish the NHL would have the guts to schedule games against the NHL on occasion.

Anyways, with a 3-1 day, my overall record now stands at 28-16

This Monday has 6 games, so without further delay, here are my picks:

Game 1:

New Jersey Devils at Boston Bruins

Boston is coming off it's first loss this season when Tim Thomas was in net. His record is now 8-1. The Devils are off to a slow start, but have looked a little better of late. But with this game being in Boston, I'm taking the Bruins.

Final Score: Bruins win 2-1

Game 2:

Vancouver Canucks vs Buffalo Sabres

Vancouver is my pick to win the Western Conference. However, Buffalo is coming fof their first home win of the year, and I think they have rediscovered their winning ways. I've got the Sabres here.

Final Score: Sabres win 3-1

Game 3:

Ottawa Senators vs Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers appear to have started the season where they left off last season (more than we can say for the team that defeated them). With this game in Philly, I like the Flyers chances vs a Senators team that doesn't seem to have much rhythm yet this season.

Final Score: Flyers win 4-3

Game 4:

New York Rangers vs Pittsburgh Penguins

Everybody who has read my NHL blogs knows I'm high on the Penguins this season. It's not something I'm proud of as I hate them, but I just feel like they are the most well-rounded team in the league.

Final Score: Penguins win 3-2

Game 5:

St. Louis Blues vs Colorado Avalanche

The Blues hot start appears to have faded away now. And with some early season struggles for Craig Anderson, this might just be the game the Blues needed to reignite their winning ways.

Final Score: Blues win 4-2

Game 6:

Los Angeles Kings vs San Jose Sharks

Two division rivals clash here as the first place Kings go up against the 3-Time defending Pacific Division Champs. Los Angeles is off to their best start in team history, but I don't think that will be enough to stop the Sharks who have won two straight at home.

Final Score: Sharks win 5-4

Not too many games for this Monday, but they are all very high quality matchups. I could easily see some of these games ending up as playoff previews.

Til' next time.

Hey man, I was wondering if you were going to do the predictions again this year. I looked at the group page from last year but didn't see them there. You have any thoughts about posting them over there again? That way me or anyone else could do the predictions again as well.
