Defense

Once again D. Ware got .5 sack and Jay Ratliff had 2 sacks for the defense.  Both Ware and Spencer have lost contain on a couple of plays due to discipline.  It is expected that both won't always get their sacks, but for them to have a drop-off in other aspects of their defensive responsibilties is due to a lack of discipline.  The inside linebackers (James, Brooking) have played well the last 2 games and it seems like Lee is progressing and they can still play better.  In the secondary, both Sensabaugh and Ball played another decent game and they will need to play better because the Saints are coming for Thanksgiving.  Jenkins and Newman are probably the weakest part of the secondary and the Saints will look to exploit them.  The Lions picked the right side of the defense on almost every pass play during the 1st half and this is Jenkins' side.  The only play that Newman made was at the end of the game when he intercepted the pass from Hill.  It would be nice to see more McCann and Scandrick play corner.  McCann has a knack for making the big play even though his inexperience will hurt him once-in-a-while.

Offense

Jon Kitna had another solid performance both passing and running the ball.  And everybody said he couldn't scramble.  He ran for 3 1st downs including a late touchdown that sealed the win for the Cowboys and it was the longest run for the day.  The O-line did a nice job of pass protection and opening holes for the running game to get better.  Felix Jones did a nice job of running the ball and he ran for 51 yards with 11 carries.  Choice came in the second half and ran for a couple of 1st downs.  Barber needs to stop auditioning for "DWTS" and run through the holes, and he needs a haircut.  It would be nice to see Choice and Jones run the ball more.  Finally, the recievers didn't drop a ball, they caught everything that touched their hands.

Coaching

The Cowboys called a decent game in all 3 phases.  However, Garrett needs to stop calling those cute plays that don't work, because they stop any momentum the team gains during the game.  This is why they had negative yardage during a point in the game.

Another great critique of the game.
