Defense

DeMarcus Ware is not the same player from previous years, he is a couple of steps slower for some odd reason.  Spencer continues to lose contain on bootlegs and in previous game on a reverse.  Jenkins and Newman continue to get picked on and it was great to see McCann replace Newman when the Saints scored the game winning touchdown.  Coincendently, Jenkins was the corner that got beat on that TD.  Hopefully, McCann will see more action at corner.

Offense

Kitna has done a great job filling in for Romo and should not be blamed for the interception.  He did have some errant throws that he attempted to Bryant.  In fact, Kitna stands taller in the pocket than Romo.  Austin is starting to suffer from the drops again.  Ironically, Roy Williams got stripped of the ball who usually puts both hands and arms on the ball when in traffic.  This play could have sealed the game for the Cowboys.  Again, too much Barber and not enough of Tashard Choice.

Coaching

The defensive coordinator has a tough job when his pass rushers can't get to the QB and his secondary can't learn their responsibilities and/or coverages.  This is why Sensabaugh got on Newman against the Giants.  DeCamillis finally got Buehler to kick the ball into the endzone and was 2 of 3 in FG attempts.  Can't hold the 59 yarder against him.  Garrett needs to stop calling the cute quick screen plays that have never worked, otherwise, he would call a great game.  Anybody in the organization needs to advise him against these cute plays that never work.  Unless its Coach Jerry who is making these play calls.  This is why the blame should not be place on Kitna for the interception.

Effort

Overall the Cowboys put on a great effort especially since they were down by 17 by the end of the 1st quarter.  Great job of fighting to get back into the game and the lead that unfortunately didn't last for the remainder of the game.

Games like this is what the NFL is. One or two plays and the game can go either way. So it is really interesting to see it unfold. You have got to give the Boys credit they didn't give up or back down. The Saints have some real issues. If not for a timely play and Drew Brees they would have certainly gone down to defeat.

I thought it was a good effort but no prize. I struck out 3 for 3, wanted Detroit to beat Pats, Dallas to beat the Saints and UT to beat A&M. Tday is the reason I quit betting on football! LOL
