Its been a brutal stretch of fifteen years for the Dallas Cowboys without being a tue contender but card companies know they are still a cash cow.  Following card giants like Upper Deck in 93 and 2009 along with Topps 05, Panini once called "Donruss" has come out with 25 different Cowboy cards with their limited edition cards paying respect to the 50th anniversary of the Dallas Cowboys. The collection includes signatures, threads and regular cards although I believe there are 25 players involved and each has one card. Although that remains to be seen. The Cowboy cards have the nickname printed on the side. There are any where from 10-100 of each card so better get them before they are gobbled up? Its is around Thanksgiving!? The popularity of the Dallas Cowboys remains a phenomenon for a team that is not even the leader in world championships in their sport. The cards were just recently released.

If you are unfamiliar with the other 112 different Americas Team cards featuring the Dallas Cowboys, you can look at some on another of my blogs....

QUOTE(#1):

These pictures are pretty old aren't they? Cowboys have just 1 playoff win in 15 years and the press continues to call them America's team? Please note the press likes Obama and we see what America really thought earlier this month!! Didn't "the press" also predict "America's Team" to go to the Super Bowl this year? Steelers were going to win their 3rd SB against the Cowboys but they excused themselves from the party early!! 3 wins this year and the blogger is excited about cards picturing players, half of which he probably never watched on TV. Nice blog but you're living in the past with this team, but you do have to with the Cowboys. Lily (great player) retired in what year? Dorsett (U of ittsbugh) was bankrupt and tried to come back and play in what year? Go play a video game and leave the card collecting to the kids on your street.

I guess thats what you do when fans ask you why the Steelers weren't the most popular team in the nfl with more championships then Dallas in the 70s. Harris polls the last four years have voted the Cowboys as the most popular team in the nfl. As far as your Steelers,... they went from 1933 to 1971 (39 years) without a division title so I wouldn't knock the recent Cowboys too much. Atleast they've managed four division titles and are slightly over .500 in the 15 years. Amazingly Dallas was in the top 5 in merchandise sales from 2000 to 02 with a record no better then 5-11.
