No, I'm not talking about your girlfriend finally returning home from a night of drinking. I'm talking about Floyd of Rosedale, the bronze pig trophy from the Iowa Minnesota border battle.
The Hawks come out flying high and scored twice quickly. On the plus side we broke our streak of playing a flat first half and turning it around the second half. Unfortunately, we turned the first half to our advantage but also turned the second half over to our opponent. The Gophers made a furious rally in the second half. We were lucky to hang on 21-16.
With that victory the Hawkeyes now have only one thing in mind. Getting a win over Western Michigan and heading somewhere south and warm for a bowl game.
