Well San Francisco Giant Fans it been 56 years of torture but "FINALLY WORLD CHAMPIONS". This season we watched our Giants ups and downs, alot of nail biting games but they got through them. Now the thing that is on everyones mind is "REPEAT". It's easy to say but doing is the toughier part. As the winter meetings approach I have seen some your posts about "signing Carl Crawford or Sign Jayson Werth, what about Jeter? and even some about signing Lee". Well here's my take on your comments, and don't take it the wrong way at all, as much as it would be awesome to see them wear that Giants uniform, but Crawford wants $100 million, and i say no way, Jayson Werth he's going to want something a little hefty but not that bad, but I would say no. Then there's Jeter 36 year old SS who wants a 3 year over $60 million contract, and I say hell no to that...even the Yankees agree. And as far as Lee...well you won't see him in a Giants Uniform period. What i think the Giants should do is simply build within there farm system. I mean look what they have gotten since they decided to that a few years ago there's Lincecum,Cain,B weezy,Posey,Sandoval,Bumgardner,Romo, and we will soon see Brandon Belt dawn a Giants uniform for sure in 2011. Instead of signing a 100 million dollar free agent guy wouldn't you rather have the Giants save that money and give to guys like Lincecum, B- Weezy,or Posey when there free agents? I would. Because when that day comes and they got a couple of $100 million dollar guys like Crawford type players, then your going to be bashing the organization on how they couldn't bring these guys back. I say skip out on these type of free agents lets save that money for our guys of the future from the farm system and currently in the 25 man roster. Now I will agree that re-signing Aubrey Huff was a very smart move, the Giants gave him a 1 year 3 million dollar contract last year, and they challenged him produce, and we'll talk about an extention with more money. What did he do? here's your answer 2 years 20 million with a 2013 option worth 2 million which equals 22 million all together. As far as Uribe goes, yes i'm upset to have lose him to the like of the Dodgers (BOOOOOOOOOOORIBE), but with the right smart trade move the Giants could get a really good SS, and I have one in mind that has been mentioned... Tampa Bay's Jason Barlett. His numbers went down last year because he was injured he batted .254, but thats why you have a back up like Emmanuel Burris. But before Barlett number in 09 were really good, he batted a .308 (check out his numbers on yahoo, it's alot to write down lol) But Giants Fans lets not chase guys like Carl Crawford lets use it on our future guys like Lincecum and Posey. Please post your comments and let me know lets talk.

Glad to see you back on this site my friend. Always good to have fellow Giants fans on here.

What an incredible season it was! Gotta say, I never thought we could actually do it.

Totally agree about saving money for guys like Cain, Lincecum, Bumgarner, and of course, the great Posey.

Signing Crawford would be huge for next season, and would make us clear cut favorites in the NL again. But re-signing our young arms, plus Posey, would make us major contenders for years to come.

the Giants let Uribe go. Should've paid him similarly to what they paid Huff.

yeah should have, but we all know that the Dodgers love our sloppy seconds (Schmidt,Kent,etc.). But the Giants just signed Miguel Tejada to a one year deal to play SS (which i'm ok with, it's only one year) but he has a good glove, and he's got some pop in the bat, i'm very interested to see what he brings to the Giants. Here's what i like to see opening day against the Dodgers...
1. Andres Torres-CF
2. Freddy Sanchez-2B
3. Miguel Tejada-SS
4. Buster Posey-C
5. Aubrey Huff-LF
6. Brandon Belt-1B
7. Cody Ross-RF
8. Pablo Sandoval-3b
9. Tim Lincecum-SP
