It was thirty three years ago today ... um ... ok ... it was three years ago, that I first sat down and joined the FanNation.  I was timid, shy and very non-committal about anything and everything ... and if you believe that, I have this gorgeous lakeside property with a 3 story, 22,000 square foot mansion in Plains, TX with a great view of the mountains I'll sell you real cheap ... see spammers, this is how it's done ... like many, I lurked a few months before deciding I would try hanging with this bunch. 

Anyway, upon arrival I was immediately accused of being a stalker and an alter.  A right of passage I suppose.  When I joined on Pearl Harbor day ... the Red Sox had just won the World Series, the NY Giants were gunning for the Super Bowl and the Celtics were making a run at the NBA championship.  I rarely visited the NBA or MLB threads at that time and yes, I suffered through all the NE Elitists and their love for everything Boston sports wise.  I had no idea what a TD was, still don't, but they sure are fun to comment on.  Some take their opinions of themselves and their ability to debate way to seriously.  To each their own.  I'd rather have fun.

The nut job du jour then was a user named Durrell ... they even named an award after him and although interest has wained somewhat, his name is still invoked.  There have been many, many nut jobs that have come and gone ... some from NE, some from Chicago and one of my all time favorites ... from Detroit.  I know many of us will never ever forget Kuster.  Our resident basement dwelling fry cook with aspirations of being in a band (even though he never played an instrument).  Nor shall we forget his love of Michigan State and Detroit Lion QB, Drew Stanton ... Amber were are you??   ... um ... I digress ... nut jobs have come and gone, many of them ... some keep coming back over and over and over again ... just watch out for those terroristic geese and prairie dogs carrying sams ...

This past year has been somewhat disappointing for my Texas teams ... ok, ok ... sometimes a tremendous disappointment, but I will still always be there for the Cowboys, Mavs and the Rangers ... and thank you Rangers for a great season.  Oh ... I still don't know what a Stars is ... he, he ...

I have met a lot of great peeps and some sour pusses, but mostly I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting with fans of all types ... except soccer fans ... they tend to be a bit ... um ... yeah ... and all that ...  

And now after over 65,000 comments (yes, I was banned once and saved by RSB) I will end this little rant of whatever it is and simply ask that McJesus save me ...
