I know, I know, everyone talks about the Heisman and it gets really old, but I just can't resist when it is just such a toss-up. Every team that I know of has a loss and there have been upsets galore. This makes it harder to pick, but I will try like many others have. Here I have my top two with an analysis on why I picked them and then 3-5. Please comment on whether you agree, disagree, dislike it, or like it.
1. Dennis Dixon (QB) - Oregon: 8-1
Why? - Dixon is the heart and soul of the Ducks. He has improved very much since last season and he has been able to lead the Ducks to 8 wins with that newly found production. This season he has thrown for 2073 yards, 69 less than his career high for a season. He has thrown for 8 more touchdowns and 11 less interceptions this year than his junior year. He has also rushed for a touchdown in every game except for the game against Arizona State when he threw for 4 touchdowns instead.
2. Tim Tebow (QB) - Florida: 7-3
Why? - Tebow is the leader of the Gators and he, personally, has chomped through defenders, but the rest of the team hasn't had as much success. This is another quarterback carrying his team. Two perfect examples of this are the fact that he either passes or runs on 60%-70% (I'm not sure of the exact percentage) of the Gator's plays and yesterday against South Carolina, he ran for 5 touchdowns and threw for 2 more, accounting for all 7 Gator touchdowns. Oh yeah, 5 rushing touchdowns is a school record, not for quarterbackd, but for a runningback as well.
3. Darren McFadden (RB) - Arkansas: 6-4
4. Pat White (QB) - West Virginia: 8-1
5. Mike Hart (RB) - Michigan: 8-2
