Well the 2007-2008 Basketball season is upon us.  After getting a chance to watch the team for two games the season looks to be an interesting one.  On Friday the team was very impressive in the first half doubling up the Huston Tillotson rams with a score of 64-32.  Coming out in the second half the Bobcats were on fire and began to widen the gap, but then came a turn of the tide and Huston Tillotson closed a lead that was once 32 points down to 13.  Luckily our Bobcats got the game back under control and beat the Rams 101-81.

Notes from the first 2 games(1 was an exhibition)

Brandon Thomas
Showed everyone his skill as the most physical guard on the team.  He finished the night with a double-double. 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Brandon Bush
Fouled out with 3minutes left in the game but still managed to be co-leading scorer putting up 17 points.  When it was crunch time and the Rams narrowed the score to 13points Bush took over taking the ball the length of the court for a lay up, as well as hitting a much needed 3 pointer from the corner.  Anytime the Cats get into trouble look for them to get the ball into their playmakers hands.

Dylan Moseley
Maybe the most improved player on the team.  Has the ability to take over a game when he gets the hot hand.  Also scored 17 points.

Ty Gough
Hasnt really showed much on offense, but his size is a presence on the court. He should play alot and as a big man he runs the floor extremly well. Has great feet and seems to know his job on this team. He is a legit 6-10 245-255.

Jonathon Sloan
Played the least out of all the freshman and I dont know if he is ready to run Davalos' Style of Basketball. Just cant seem to run the floor well enough yet to keep up. Hopefully he works on those feet and gets things going.

Ryan White
Quick as lightning. Needs some seasoning but by mid season he may be our true point guard.  Showed alot of progression from game 1 to 2.  Has shown an ability to shoot the 3 ball, but probably needs to be more selective.  Man this kid is something special.

Corey Jefferson
For now he is the best point guard on the team and he can hit the outside shot as well. In the future he might play some 2 guard as well so we have more ball handlers on the floor.

Cameron Johnson
Seems to be cut from the same mold as Brandon Bush. Actually is a bit bigger and has great potential. Still needs to get ready mentally to play college ball, although he seemed to assert himself more in against Huston Tillotson pulling down 7 rebounds.

Brent Benson
Is as good as advertised and his 3 point shot looks effortless. He gets it off quick which is good because he doesnt jump very high on the shot and he is is only about 6-1.
