12:19 PM ET 12.14 | What can I say that hasnt already been said? They fire the head coach, which fires up the players who fear their jobs being on the line, and they play better. Fear is a great motivator. You see how they are starting to cool off as they begin to get comfortable and start fearing for their jobs less and less. As much of a fan as I am, it's kind of hard for me to say this, but it's all about the money. And thats any sport anymore. You threaten to take away that money security, and all of the sudden the players care enouph to play good....even my Cowboys. Sad but true. What they need is a drill sergeant of a coach that is willing to fire people in a heatbeat, and keep them motivated! I do and will always support them. GO COWBOYS GOOO!!!!!!

i think there is some truth to what you say. there was no "threat" playing for wade. these guys are all millionaires... how do yo motivate some of these young kids? you make them accountable for how they play. play poorly.... game after game - you bench them and make them feel their job is at stake. a much more stern coach is what they need. don't know if garrett fits that bill..... would not appear that he does. cowher or gruden.... they'd fit the bill just fine. there is a lot of psychology in motivating rich players. some like say brady or manning don't need the motivation... they are competitors and would fight over a game of checkers. others need pushing. it looks like garrett is our man... so i hope he can find the right buttons to push to make these guys perform.
