12:30 PM ET 12.14 | Altho I wan never a Green Bay or Minnisota fan, I have always like and respected Brett Farve. He is deffinatly the best QB ever! But I have to say, I think it was a bit selfish for him not to go out there for the first series and do a bunch of handoffs so he can keep his streak alive. A few running plays is all it would have taken for Farve to keep the streak alive and get to 300 like his fans wanted and expected. Look, we all know he was going to fully retire after this season no matter what....all we wanted was for him not to give up so easy. 3 more games....thats all we wanted. He far exceeded everyone's expectations. He owns most of the records in the books. 3 more starts. Why not? After a stellar carrer, it's kinf of a let down. I'm just saying.

can't agree here with much. he is certainly not the best QB ever in most fans minds. don't even think he'd make the top 10 list. he is durable... can't argue with the streak - pretty impressive and should hold for a very long time. his last few yrs have ruined his legacy. he has gone from being so liked to so unliked. i was a gbay/farve fan for yrs. but now not so much. and i do respect him not going out and handing off a few running plays then leaving the game. he'd have been grilled horribly for doing that..... then it becomes about the streak ONLY. he's at least got enough class to understand if you can't play you don't go out to keep some streak alive. kuddos to brett for that.... but that's about all!

I don't think he's the best ever either and I'm a big fan. Have to agree with the 1st comment as well, he does have class and knows that going out to continue the streak would mean nothing to his fans! He should have stayed retired, but I guess hine sight is 20/20.
