If given the chance he wants to own a dog, as a pet of course.  Why not, the man has done his time in prison, he's a new man right ?  Do people really change ?

REMEMBER THIS

I'll make this short and sweet,  SHOULD THIS MAN BE ALLOWED TO OWN A DOG ANYTIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE ?

How many different ways did he and his posse dispose of those Pitt Bulls of thiers !  I'm not going to show the horrific pictures of the mutilated doges here, they make me sick !

EVERY DOG HAS HIS DAY, HAS VICK HAD HIS YET ?

The one thing that keeps popping in my head is that this is America and everybody deserves a 2nd chance, but does this man deserve the right to own a dog  ?

I truly believe the man has paid his dues and deserves a second chance . If the commish sent Tony Dungy to prison to talk to him and he got a good vibe from Vick who was given a chance by the Eagles thanks to TD he's a changed man .

One can be forgiven but still have to face justice. Justice in Vick's case should be forfeiture of much of his salary to the Humane Society or animal rescues. Justice also should deny him the opportunity to own another dog.

" Jumper cables were clipped onto the ears of underperforming dogs, then, just like with a car, the cables were connected to the terminals of car batteries before lifting and tossing the shamed dogs into the water. Most of Vick???s dogs were small ??? 40lbs or so ??? so tossing them in would???ve been fast and easy work for thick athlete arms. We don???t know how many suffered this premeditated murder, but the damage to the pool walls tells a story. It seems that while they were scrambling to escape, they scratched and clawed at the pool liner and bit at the dented aluminum sides like a hungry dog on a tin can."

It's my understanding that Vick financed the dogfighting operation, but had no active role. It's still not a great thing to have done. I think that he should definitely have all the rights as any other American since he has served time for his misdeeds. I am sure that any pet Vick gets will be scrutinized more than anyone else's animals have been. Let him have a dog. We will see first-hand how he feels about dogs by the way his pet fairs. I expect the dog to do very well.
