I recently wrote a blog saying Hopkins would win..Hopkins should have won this

fight...

Hopkins came into the fight a lil rough.. I mean Pascal knocked him down 2 times.. One might have been a slip.. who knows? either way it did not effect B-hop.. None of the shots were really clean.. Pascal fought in his normal spirt given offense.. He would come with the running hooks.. B-hop caught wind...  probably in the 5th round.. B-Hop then started commanding the ring.. .. Classic B-hop.. the bruiser  was hitting his favorites.. the BODY SHOTS.. B-hop stole pretty much the whole  2nd half of the fight.. (6rd) Pascal kept it interesting.. Pascal though in the late rounds wasn't the aggressor.. B-hop looked really good in the fight minus the first 3 rounds.. B-hop loses in a DRAW.. This is the second time i've seen an American fighter go outta of the country for the FIGHT.. the FIGHT for the reign  to be "OLDEST CHAMP" ..Evander when he fought Valuev in Germany.. HIGHWAY ROBBERY.. DON'T GET ME STARTED..  B-hop Canada tonight.. B-hop clearly won tonight.. obviously it was a close one because of the knockdowns.. Pascal ESCAPED without his record blemished.. PLEASE SET UP THIS REMATCH.. Hopkins will be 46 and the 28 year old Pascal will be the redheaded step child.. feel me?

B-Hop had this fight..

1. He was more the aggressor..

2... look at the punchstats.. ALL OF THEM.. they favor B-hop

3. Not one time when Bernard Hopkins fell on the canvas did he look woozy.. I'm not hating on Pascal's power because that's definetly relevant, but B-hop shouldn't have gotten a draw for just that lil part of the 12 round fight..

I hope you will watch the replay.. it's good boxing.. seriously..

good try on your attempt B-hop.. You'll get it when you get the REMATCH.. B-hOp has Pascal's number.. What a fight tonight tho, what a fight tonight

You obviously didn't watch a minute of the fight.

This wasn't robbery like with Valuev but I scored it for B-Hop, too (106-104).

Pascal was solid but he was ON THE RUN for the last 4 rounds.

B-Hop definitely deserves an instant rematch - and Pascal will be considered fraud (except in Montreal) until they meet again.

*a fraud

First, this was an excellent performance by Hopkins. Could be the most entertaining fight he has been in since Tito.

Next this fight was NOT a robbery. If either judge wanted to rob Hopkins they had every chance to do so but they didn't. Fans forget that you can win the fight but not the boxing match. Boxing is scored on a round by round basis. If the points don't add up at the end to the person who dished out the bigger beating than he doesn't win the boxing match.

If you look at the score cards and punch stats as you watch the fight the scores of 113-113 and 114-114 are very reasonable.

I scored the fight 114-112 for Hopkins as did one judge. I scored the first 3 rounds all to Pascal counting both knockdowns. This put Hopkins is a five point hole with only 9 rounds left to gain points in. Pascal only needs 2 rounds to make it 113-113 or 114-114 [explain this one later]. Rounds 4, 5, 8 and even 10 where all very close on punch stats and how they played out in the ring. Can't fault anyone to give any of them to Pascal. Not saying Pascal could get all of them on one card but if they wanted to rob him they could have by giving him 3. I scored round 5 for Pascal as did two judges to make my 114-112 having Hopkins win 8 rounds to 4. Enough to overcome the 5 points he lost early by only one round.

The 114-114 judge could have robbed Hopkins easily and no one would have much to say. He actually scored the first round for Hopkins giving Pascal the round 10-9 because of the knockdown. If he scores it 10-8 like everyone else than Pascal wins. He giving rounds 5 and 8 to Pascal isn't absurd and scoring round 10 a 10-10 round isn't screwing anyone either.

Hopkins won more rounds than Pascal did on all the judges score cards. He dominated the second half of the fight but he was in a deep whole and needed to pitch a shutout. Knockdowns are knockdowns whether the fighter was hurt or not and they count as much as a round does.

Great fight but you can't scream robbery every time a fight is close. Tarver had the fight for Hopkins and press row was split up. The fight was close. Fights translate differently on TV than they do live. Americans can't say they are the ones get screwed when I can name SEVERAL foreign fighters getting screwed here in the states by American fighters.

The only robbery here as well was the fight fans had to pay for that fight. No one did anything in that fight and they both should have been awarded an L.

Pascal has contractual obligation to fight Chad Dawson next and Hopkins will have to wait. I bet anything Hopkins just goes away if Dawson wins the next one or moves up to fight Adamek at HW.
