When was the last time the Buckeyes beat a SEC team in a bowl game ?  Its been tough for the Bucks but could this be the year and the team they take to the cleaners ?

Will the Buckeyes be distracted?  News broke in late December that five players, including quarterback Terrelle Pryor, have been suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season but will be allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl. The players sold championship rings, awards and jerseys in exchange for tattoos from a local parlor.

OHIO STATE'S EDGE: The Silver Bullet Defense is one of the nation's best, ranking second in total defense (250.6 yards) and third in scoring defense (13.3 points). The Buckeyes have limited six opponents to 10 or fewer points, including rival Michigan, which managed only seven.  All-American Chimdi Chekwa leads the team with three interceptions and has 42 tackles and two forced fumbles. Brian Rolle leads with 70 tackles, 10 of them for loss, and Nathan Williams has four sacks.  This is a defense that can shut you down, plain and simple !  I don't believe that the Hogs have played a D this tough.

Arkansas' Edge:  The Hogs can put points on the board; they've scored no fewer than 31 points in their last seven games - all but one against stiff SEC competition. They rank third in the nation in passing offense thanks to quarterback Ryan Mallett and six receivers with at least 27 catches.  Folks make no mistakes this offense can score !

Arkansas's Ryan Mallett completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,592 yards and 30 touchdowns. The redshirt junior (a transfer from Michigan) already holds the school record for touchdown passes.

I've always been one that believed a great defense will prevail over a good offense, this match up looks to be one that will test my beliefs .......

It would be easy to bet the favorite here, however sharp money is on the Hogs + the points.

The difference maker: The Hogs defense, POROUS, VERY POROUS !  70th against the run. Auburn put up how many on this D ? (65)

Lay the small chalk in my opinion, I think this is the year that the Buckeyes beat a pretty good SEC team !

Please tell me where I'm wrong here, I don't like losing my money.  I'm an SEC homer most of the time but not this time ........

If it is Pryors last game that is news to Ol sweatervest!! Even though I believe that the ncaa rule is stupid, they broke it & those 5 players incl Pryor should not be playing in a bowl game....& the rule should be changed!! IF they play.......I am 99% sure they will all BOLT for the NFL in the off season ....... giving Ol Sweatervest & Ohio St "the Big Bird"......I highly doubt that they come back just to serve a 5 game suspencion.

Hey NCAA........GET YOUR S*IT TOGETHER & BE CONSISTENT.........STOP BEING SPOILED MONEY HUNGRY BRATS WHO HAVE NO INTEREST OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL, ITS PLAYERS, OR FANS WHICH MAKE YOU ALL YOUR $.......
