Seperate post for Sunday..... Here's my take on Saturday's games. Enjoy:

NFL Lines Wild Card Playoffs - NFL Football Line
Wild Card Weekend Playoff Games
NFL Game Lines 1/8, 2011
Date & Time Favorite Line Underdog Total

1/8 4:30 ET New Orleans -10 At Seattle 44.5
1/8 8:05 ET At Indianapolis -2.5 NY Jets 44.5

And for the 4 teams playing I found odds of them winning the superbowl:
New Orleans: 12/1
Seattle: 150/1 (OUCH)
Indianapolis: 18/1
New York Jets: 25/1

New Orleans, what can I say about this game when it's a 10 point spread.  New Orleans only scores 24 points per game and to say they should cover the spread would be a lot considering they allow an average of 19+ each game.  On the other hand the 7-9 Eagles are the worst team in the playoffs and score 19.4 PPG and allow 25.4 PPG.  The statistics match between both teams.  I'd put my best bet on the +10 Seattle, Saints moneyline, and the under 44.5.

There will be no miracle at the Meadowlands Saturday as they don't play at the meadowlands.  Still there will be no Miracle for the Jets.  This looks like an unfavorable matchup.  Don't take my word for it though, the oddsmakers are giving the Jets a chance, however I think that the Colts -2.5 is easy money.  The striking statistic of this game has to be the 45-3 loss to the Pats.  This displays no contention with Superbowl bound teams.

Post your critiques and picks below.  Looking forward to this weekend of football and hope its all a good one.  Sorry if I offend any Jets or Seahawks fans, but I know how it feels... Come on I'm a Bills fan.

I'm just here to learn, that's why I joined the group.

I think the Saints win, but not sure if it will be by more than 10.

Peyton has been there done that and if Ryan is scared of him then I have to give the edge to the Colts.

The Saints are my fav so far to get to and win the Superbowl, but not quite ready to make my Superbowl picks just yet...

I don't like the Saints this year as a repeat champ. I just don't see it happening considering their production isn't what it was last year.

I'll do a 'Sports betting 101' when I have time, or just google it and read for reself. Anybody can pick a favorite, and most do, its picking the right dog(underdog as to say) Taking the Saints on the ML (money line) the odds are -600, $6 to win $1 not good odds, takes a lot of money to win big money. Game coming on have to go !!

Its all about the odds here guys, if you bet the Money line and your taking the Saints you better have plenty of $ to bet, right now its -600. That means you win $1 for every $6 you bet, not very good odds. Seattle +10, the odds are much better, -115. That's about as close to even money you'll every gonna get, getting +10 points. If you take the Saints -10 the odds are -105, pretty close to even money. Even money meaning, you bet $105 you win $100. If you take Seattle on the ML the odds are very good, +425. Bet $100 you could win $425. It would take a big pair of Balls to make that bet. The ML is straight up btw! You're not getting or giving any points. Learn about odds guys its key ! I'm taking Seattle +10 Betting $50 and probably Seattle on the ML for $25, taking at shot. Seattle at home probably cover 10 points and with few turnover they could win the game straight up, not likely but worth a shot.

http://www.docsports.com/nfl-odds.html / Here is a good place to look at odds, ML, Spread. I use Betus.com to make bets but there are plenty of online books ! Also its key to lean the lingo, the terms, like laying the chalk, or buying the hook. If you bet the Saints -10, you can buy a 1/2 point down to -9.5, cost you some $ but if may be a 10 point game. That's buying the hook down or you can take Seattle +10 and buy the hook up to +10.5, get the idea?

I like the Colts -2.5 here as well ! I wouldn't suggest betting against Manning, especially at home. At some books you can get the Colts -3 at even money ! or -2.5 at -110, -140 on the ML. not very good odds there. The Jets could cover though, buy the hook to +3 might be the right play here. This could be a very close game. Don't cha just love it !! What is the right play here ??? LOL

That's a great first lesson!

If you really want to get technical you can also say the home advantage for Seattle stretches even to the weather. Seattle has a 60% chance of precipitation throughout gametime tonight. New Orleans, a team that plays in a dome atleast 8 of 16 times of the year has less exposure to the elements than outdoor teams. That also brings down the passing game alot and tends to keep game scoring low so it is very unlikely that the Saints will be able to cover a 10 spot. I never thought about betting a little on the Seahawks to win, but that could be a risk worth taking.
