Who Dat

Yes I'm fairly new here and yes I am a women, but I'm not new to sport boards or sites.  I'm here for the same reason most of you guys are here for, not all you guys, but most, to talk sports!  My father was a huge Football - Baseball fan and took me and the family to many games.  Most of my knowledge comes from him!  He was the type of man that lived sports, everything was about the game, how it was played, why a team won or lost, who was the best QB, why a QB and Receiver have to be on the same page, I could go on but I think you get the point.  So, why I'm I telling you all this you are probably asking yourself, to be honest, I figured that I should write a blog and introduce myself, but for the most part I guess you have to start somewhere at a new site?

I just watched the BCS Championship game, it was a pretty good game for the most part.  I was expecting a high scoring shoot out but instead got a defensive brawl!  I pretty well thought the SEC Team-Auburn would win but you never know for sure, I guess that's why you play the game.  Except for USC the Pac10 hasn't been very impressive over the years, while the SEC seems to be a powerhouse year in and year out.  Whats that now, 5 BCS Championships in a row! To be honest I was a little disappointed in the NCAA for allowing Cam Newton to play, not for just this game but for the entire season.  If you can honestly tell me that you believe he didn't know what his father was up to then I have a money tree and it can be yours for the low price of $5!

Okay, enough is enough, I'll say hello and good-bye in the same sentence.

Another injustice are the Ohio State players, who are suspended the first four games of next season, but allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl. Seriously! Way to punish players. If a suspension is going to mean anything, it should have included the Sugar Bowl, but then say good bye to money, an audience and a good game.

Welcome SaintGrl.

My dad wasn't big into sports but he was a big Cowboy fan. Took me to games when they played at the Cotton Bowl and Texas Stadium. I've been a cowboy fan ever since.

Welcome and have fun. No matter what your sport or teams, you'll probably find good groups to cuss and discuss sports. LOL

Welcome SaintGrl,
the latest NCAA suspensions are a joke! Maybe in a few years, Cam Newton will be forced to give his Heisman trophy back (ala R.Bush) and Auburn will be stripped of the 2010 National Title.

Exactly, colleges get away with a ton of crap and then when they get caught they act like they are preserving the integrity of the game when the NCAA punishes someone.

Welcome to the family, hope you have plenty good fun.

The decision to let Cam Newton play was probably based on what they can't say in public: ratings and profits. It is what it is. Newton probably knew what was going on, but he didn't actually commit the act, so I guess that was good enough for the NCAA. Of course, in our legal system, that's called being an accessory. But, in the court of public opinion, it's a whole different ballgame.

Hey Saintgrl, I have to agree w/ Pnob, because I also think that Cam may be stripped of his trophy and Auburn might have to suffer the humiliation of being stripped of their title!!
