Let me get this straight..

Cam Newton and his Dad weren't in coohootz?

I mean .. His Dad was found with some suspicious evidence.. but they cleared Cam?

 Hmm..

this is weird on two different levels..

First.. If Cam DIDN'T KNOW his DAD was trying get some CASH.. Wouldn't he feel pretty betrayed.. USED.. I mean.. what.. Daddy thought he was cashing in on the backyard throw sessions.. wow.. I just don't get it..

the 2nd thing.. If CAM DID KNOW.. he won the Title.. Led Chizik to a Title.. What the hell? I mean, how could he have not KNOWN.. Also, if he truly didn't.. that's mess'd up on Pop's attempt on cashing in...

I for one think there is a lil something funky about all of it..

We've seen Reggie Bush lie straight to are faces..

I know Cam didn't go to Mississippi St. but it's funny that the investigation had some bumps in the road.. like Cam being ineligible for a DAY..

I don't know.. i'd like to see ya'lls feedback..

Cam was probably hoping that his father scored bigger bucks.

Like **** said back during Watergate, "follow the money"!

If you look into both Cam's case and the guys that were allowed to play in a Bowl Game but are suspended for 4 games next year. Regarding Cam, NCAA bylaws state that even if Cam didn't know, as long as someone working on his behalf or a guardian, he's ineligible. In the other case, the players not understanding the rules is no defense, they are ineligible to play as well.

NCAA and BCS went for the money. And related, the main reason we don't have a playoff system, the BCS presidents make form $200,000 to over $800,000 each individually. You think they want anybody cutting in to their pie?

he did and didnt...cam did what his dad told him to and didnt ask questions so he would not get in trouble while daddy cashed in early

Nice loophole that Newtons created now. Agents/Schools can bribe parents to get players. Let the bidding war start for future high school phenoms. How much would it cost to get a future Lebron at your college? How much would Tebow III cost Florida? etc..

I'd have to say that both Newtons knew about it.

Cam's dad is your basic sleazy preacher man, from all appearances.

For a Heisman level guy, you should go for at least go for 500K.
The penalty would still be the same, which in this case is nothing.
