Adrian Wilson has not practiced at all this week due to a hurt calf/heel injury. He has been wearing a boot all week and it seems likely that he will not play.
Eric Green injured himself during practice today and left on crutches. No further word on what happened. He also might not be able to play.
Aaron Francisco has been limited in practice this week, but it does not seem like he will be able to play.
Man, I do not like the way things are going for our Cards secondary. The Bengals WR are dangerous. We will likely bring in Rolle to start for Eric Green, thus leaving our Nickle Package vulnerable. Matt Ware will be playing Safety and Ralph Brown will be on coverage duty. Hopefully out D-line will get tons of pressure on Palmer all day and force him to make some bad decisions.
Stopping the run will be a priority. We must keep Rudi Johnson in check all game so that the Bengals will be forced to throw and be kept one dimensional. If we can stop the run then I think we can play the Bengals like we did the Lions and come out with an impressive victory.
Heres a little trivia fact. Apparently the Cardinals have lost 8 our of 9 games played against AFC opponents. Hopefully this weekend wont bring in a 10th loss.
Keys to the game:
Stop the run! Keep the Bengals offense one dimensional.
Good balance of run and pass on offense. It worked wonders last week against the Lions. Edge didnt have a lot of total yards, but the runs he did get were getting him around 6 or 7 ypc.
Field Position and TOP. Steve Breaston did an outstanding job last week. Hopefully we can have another great week out of him against the Bengals. Also, dominate the TOP. Keep their defense out there as long as possible and wear them down!
I think this game will be a close one, but the Cardinals will leave Cincinatti with a W on the column. The Seahags play the Bears at Chicago on sunday, so it will be tough for them. Hopefully after Sunday, the Cardinals will be in first place of the NFC West. GO CARDINALS!!!
