NFL WEEK 11 OUTLOOK
A full slate of games this NFL weekend, so let's not waste any time and cut to the chase. BEWARE of the HOME UNDERDOGS!!!
Let's begin, shall we....
San Diego over JACKSONVILLE- Both teams are coming off victories with the Chargers fortunately escaping away with one. Garrard returns but I believe luck will remain with the visitors. Chargers 20 Jaguars 17
INDIANAPOLIS over Kansas City- Too much offense for the Chiefs D to handle, and a very sound Indy D should contain anything KC has up its sleeves. I don't think Indy will let a game slip away again but who knows, stranger things have happened. Welcome to the NFL, Brodie Croyle. Better days ahead for you. Colts 26 Chiefs 14
Oakland over MINNESOTA- Culpepper looks to revive his career against his former team. Oakland can still salvage their season but it would take a miracle, why not just start JaMarcus already. Chester Taylor should find enough room to scamper, but the Raiders do very well being underdogs. Look for Culpepper to exploit the Vike's debilitated secondary. Raiders 23 Vikings 19
Cleveland over BALTIMORE- it's rare to ever see the Brownies be a road favorite. That just shows you how far they've come, and how low the Ravens have detertiorated. Boller looks to jumpstart a non-existent offense. It's an improvement but not enough to keep up with the juggernauts from Ohio. Browns 24 Ravens 16
Pittsburgh over NY JETS- Jets are huge home 'dogs and I believe they will keep it close enough for them to cover the spread. Kellen Clemens goes up against a stingy defense that hasn't allowed much of anything, unlike the team he plays for..who will give up more than a few big plays. Steelers 27 Jets 23
ATLANTA over Tampa Bay- Leftwich starts for a befuddled Harrington. We'll see how this turns out for Petrino and his questionable shift of quarterbacks. I believe Leftwich will do just fine, not spectacular, but good enough to get his coach's endorsement. So very unfortunate for Joey. Atlanta will roll on as home dogs. Falcons 24 Buccaneers 21 (OT)
CINCINNATI over Arizona- It's very rare to see Palmer without a TD pass in a game, so as a result I believe he will throw for more than expected. Look for a high scoring affair, as Cincy's pass D will be picked apart by the fragile Kurt Warner. But Cincy has its own offense to compensate for that, and Shayne Graham can relax on the bench for a change. Bengals 31 Cardinals 26
PHILADELPHIA over Miami- The Dolphins have been playing their hearts out only to find themselves on the losing end. They have been coming close to acquiring their first win and I believe they will get it at some point , but unfortunately it's not gonna happen this week. Welcome to the NFL, John Beck. Meet the pass rush of the Eagles. Eagles 24 Dolphins 14
New England over BUFFALO- The well rested Pats look to resume on trouncing their opponents and keep their flawless record intact. I don't think the Bills care about it all, and being the home dogs by double digits of 16..even I can't say that they are primed for an upset. There are no dogs to beware of in here, as the Pats will cruise on. Patriots 38 Bills 14
DALLAS over Washington- The Cowboys are on a roll since losing to the Pats, and they will look to make 3 consecutive wins against all their NFC east rivals. A win here will more than likely assert Dallas of the division crown, and I believe they will get it as they get past the Redskins unscathed. Cowboys 27 Redskins 14
New Orleans over HOUSTON- The Saints suffered an unexpected setback last week after compiling 4 straight wins. Houston comes off rested from a bye week and will get Schaub back along with their star receiver Andre Johnson. This game is a toss up, but I believe the Saints have the better offense if Brees gets back in rhythm, and he will. This game will go back and forth all the way to a nailbiter, with the visitors coming out on top. Saints 28 Texans 26
GREEN BAY over Carolina- Too much Favre and Jennings for Carolina's defunct offfense to ever keep up. It's interesting to see two oldies at QB go against one another. Packers 27 Panthers 7
NY Giants over DETROIT- Look for Eli and company to rebound against a generous Lions secondary that had been torched last week. It should be a high scoring affair as both offenses can move the ball with some consistency. The difference in this game: Eli Manning torching the pass happy D of the Lions...look for Plaxico, Toomer, and Shockey to have decent outings. Giants 27 Lions 24
St. Louis over SAN FRANCISCO- Even as home underdogs, the Niners offense look too horrible for me to endorse them as a team to "beware" of. Nothing is going right for San Fran, and Alex Smith whose shoulder pain is inhibiting his play is only making things worse. Time to look forward to next season. Rams are just delighted to finally escape from the realm of the winless. With that monkey finally off their backs, they should play better football. Rams 24 49ers 13
SEATTLE over Chicago- Seahawks D look to continue their dominance at home against a Bears offense that has turned to Rex Grossman at the helm. With Grossman, the offense looks to get a boost but hey wait a minute this is the same Grossman that was benched earlier this season for ineffective play. Nothing is gonna change, and the Bears will once again start to questions thmeselves. Seahawks 24 Bears 16
DENVER over Tennessee- Only comment on this game is that Lendale White's grinding and punishing ground attack will be the only offense the Titans can muster. Vince Young will be ineffective and Denver's Selvin Young will look to make Mike Shanahan a genius. Denver will one again pull out a close not to mention dramatic victory. The only kind of victory the the Broncos seem to have an affinity for all season long. Broncos 24 Titans 22
