Baylor

Review:  The Bears had to go to Norman and play OU.  They put up the most yards anyone has against Oklahoma all year with 450 but still got beat 52-21.  If you believe in moral victories this is probably one for the Baylor offense.

Preview:  The Bears play an explosive Oklahoma State team this weekend.  This game is in Waco, a home game for the Bears.  If they can somehow stop the OSU offense and if their O plays like they did against Oklahoma, it could be enough to pull off an upset.

Colorado

Review:  The Buffs lost on a controversial call @Iowa State.  Still should not use this as an excuse...They just couldn't hold the Cyclones offense but the CU offense didn't look to shabby.

Preview:  BYE WEEK

Iowa State

Review:  ISU got their third win of the season against Colorado on a questionable last second call but they are looking much better than their 3-8 record would indicate.  The offense looked pretty good while the D did just enough to get the hard-fought win.

Preview:  The Cyclones go to Lawrence to take on the 3rd ranked Jayhawks.  If they want to pull off the upset they need to force turnovers on the mistake free KU offense.  Their offense needs to get rolling early and they need to hope that the Hawks are overlooking them.

Kansas

Review:  The Hawks proved to many people that they are a legit team.  They won in Stillwater against a decent Cowboys team.  They put up 43 points and Henry had a huge day at WR.  The Hawks D played pretty well against a good OSU offense.

Preview:  The Jayhawks get a home date with the ISU Cyclones but can't afford to look past the best 3-8 team in the nation.  The Cyclones have won two straight and are starting to build some confidence.  They need to keep playing turnover-free football on offense and they should roll.

Kansas State

Review:  The Wildcats got beat up by Nebraska in Lincoln.  They gave up 73 points and their offense didn't look amazing against an average at best Nebraska D.  It seemed like they just gave up once they got down and they can't afford to do this if they want to get to a bowl game.

Preview:  K-State gets a home game against #5 Missouri this week.  They are looking to bounce back and ruin Mizzou's great season.  The Cats have to get pressure on Chase Daniel and they need some turnovers.  If they can get momentum early they could possibly pull off the upset.  However, they can't afford to just give up like they did last week as it is Senior Day in Manhattan and the crowd will be pumped.

Missouri

Review:  The Tigers once again hit the 40 point mark but also gave up 26 to TAMU.  This game was closer than it should have been but the Tigers proved they could win in a close game.  Chase Daniel had a big day as did running back Tony Temple.

Preview:  Mizzou goes to Manhattan this weekend where they have not won since 1989.  The Tigers can't afford to overlook the Wildcats.  Mizzou needs to keep the offense rolling and get to another 40 point performance.  The D could have some trouble with Jordy Nelson and Josh Freeman and their secondary needs to step it up.  They also have to have good punt and kickoff coverage as K-State is very good in this area.

Nebraska

Review:  The Huskers took out all of their anger on Kansas State this weekend in a 73-31 blowout.  The offense and new QB Joe Ganz looked great.  The D did plenty holding a good KSU offense to 31 points.  Nebraska looked as good as they have all year in this game...the question is if they can continue to play like this...

Preview:  BYE WEEK

Oklahoma

Review:  The Sooners kept rolling with a 52-21 win over Baylor.  The good--Sooners scored 51 points and looked great.  The bad--Sooners allowed 21 points and 450 yards of offense to...Baylor.  This isn't that big of a deal because they won big but the secondary can't afford another game like this.

Preview:  OU has to go to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.  This is a very dangerous game for Oklahoma, especially if their secondary plays like they did against Baylor.  They need to get the Graham Harrell early and try to get him rattled.  They also need to shutdown, or at least slow down WR Michael Crabtree.  The offense needs to continue to play well and Bradford needs to keep doing his thing.

Oklahoma State

Review:  OSU lost 43-28 to Kansas in a home game last Saturday.  The defense couldn't quite stop the Hawks offense and the Cowboys offense couldn't get enough going on offense to win this one.  Turnovers killed the Cowboys, especially fumbles.....

Preview:  Oklahoma State goes to Waco to take on the Bears of Baylor.  The defense needs to stop the Bears offense that put up 450 yards on OU last week.  The Cowboys offense needs to bounce back and have a big day against Baylor if they want a win.

Texas

Review:  The Horns took down the Red Raiders last weekend and put up 59.  The D gave up 43, but this is forgiveable because it was against the high-powered TTU offense.  They proved to be the better team in Austin winning a shootout.

Preview:  BYE WEEK

Texas A&M

Review:  The Aggies showed some heart at Mizzou but it wasn't enough.  The offense played good and the running game looked pretty decent.  Passing game was alright also.  The Aggies D couldn't stop the great offense of Missouri though and couldn't get enough pressure on Heisman hopeful Daniel.

Preview:  BYE WEEK

Texas Tech

Review:  The Red Raiders lost in Austin, Texas versus the Longhorns last weekend.  Coach Mike Leach of TTU complained about the officiating but the team should not use this as an excuse as the officials probably couldn't make up the 16 points that the Red Raiders lost by.  The defense just couldn't stop the Horns offense...

Preview:  Texas Tech will play their final game of the regular season against #4 Oklahoma.  This is a home game and if the TTU offense can play like they know they can and if the D can slow down the OU attack TTU has a shot at upsetting the Sooners.

PREDICTIONS:

OSU@BU-Oklahoma State 38 Baylor 24--The Baylor offense plays decent but they can't hold the OSU offensive attack.

ISU@KU-Iowa State 17 Kansas 42--The Cyclones hang around for a quarter or two but the Hawks show they are the superior team as they pull away.

MU@KSU-Missouri 45 Kansas State 38--Mizzou pulls off a hard fought win in Manhattan, setting up a huge game against KU on Nov. 24.  The offense continues to play great and the D does just enough.

OU@TTU-Oklahoma 54 Texas Tech 45--The Sooners hang on in Lubbock and avoid an upset.  The offense plays great and the defense slows the Red Raider offense down somewhat.

Last Week--4-2

Thanks what is yours of??

Oklahoma blows out anyone in the Big 12. Kansas gets by Iowa State. The Huskers spank Colorado next week. This will be a whipping like years ago. Missouri takes in a battle? How about NOT IMPRESSED w/K-State. Sorry, but all the Texas teams are not worth mentioning. Not that they are bad, just no great news until Dennis gets fired. Oh, forgot to mention OSU...not really.

November 15, 2007  10:56 PM ET

Oklahome in the National Championship Game. I'm callin with the Oregon losing tonight against Arizona.

November 15, 2007  11:12 PM ET

Oklahoma beat Mizzou by 10...so your first sentence is false.

I am talking about this week not the next week

I wasn't impressed with your Huskers but they played great so K-State could do the same to Mizzou.

If all the Texas teams aren't worth mentioning, then how is Nebraska worth mentioning this year??? And I do all Big 12 teams so that's that.

No great news in Nebraska until they fall apart...oh wait......

You seem really cocky for a fan of a team that has looked awful except for this past week...

November 15, 2007  11:13 PM ET

And OU is in if they can beat Mizzou/KU in the Big 12 Championship which will be a challenge...assuming they win out the rest of the year.

November 15, 2007  11:52 PM ET

Oklahoma's got a tough three weeks.

November 16, 2007  12:08 AM ET

I'm really looking forward to KU/Missou.

November 16, 2007  07:00 AM ET

Let's hope that OU beats Tech. If Tech wins, the Big 12 will look like a Conference USA or Mountain West conference.

I think the Missouri Kansas game should be the most interesting. I am really rooting for Chase Daniel. He's a in the Heisman running. A win for Chase would be a big boost for him.

If KU wins that game, it would certainly make the entire conference look stronger with big undefeated team at the top.

November 16, 2007  10:40 AM ET

The KU/MU game is at Arrowhead Stadium this week, so the crowd factor should be minimized. This will be the game of the week and KU will walk out with a win.

Instant Classic game.

I think that OK will win the Big 12 championship and be in the title game. They have the best chance of beating LSU.

November 16, 2007  07:02 PM ET

KU/MU game is not this week it is NEXT week, November 24.

November 17, 2007  11:14 PM ET

So, my young friend, it is just as I predicted. The Sooner defense could not stop the Tech spread offense.

Add to that the injury to Bradford and it was more miserable than I could have possibly imagined.

At this point I'm afraid the three big 12 teams will take each other out of contention for a title, but we'll have to see how it plays out.

November 17, 2007  11:22 PM ET

These guys up top better not mess around and let ohio state play for a national title again. damn college football this year is giving me a headache!

November 17, 2007  11:23 PM ET

sorry to cuss usually it blurs it out my bad ;[

November 18, 2007  12:00 AM ET

You were right once Bradford went out you guys looked pretty dismal until the fourth quarter and it looks to be a little too late now....I really hope you guys stay in the top 10 so that if Mizzou plays you and gets a win it would still help us out alot....

November 18, 2007  12:05 AM ET

Our backup makes Leaf look good.

November 18, 2007  03:18 PM ET

He looked good when they went to prevent....

November 18, 2007  09:56 PM ET

Well, MJ, I believe we owe the Tigers an apology. It appears our loss has caused Missouri to drop in the standings (since Missouri's one loss is now to a top 10 team instead of a top 5 team). Of course all that matters is winning this week. Should be a great game.

Will Gameday be at Arrowhead this week?

November 22, 2007  09:40 PM ET

Yes, and I get to go to Gameday and the game I am so pumped if we lose I will be depressed all week but if we win...oh if we win i will be on an emotional high for a long long time....
