I've watched the guy play since he was at Cal, I knew he was going to be good maybe even great but what he did last night I couldn't even imagine.

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers is from Chico in Butte County, California. He attended Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, starting for two years at quarterback and garnering 4,421 passing yards. He set single-game records of 6 touchdowns and 440 all-purpose yards. Rodgers also set a single season record with 2,466 total yards in 2001 and graduated in the spring of 2002.

Being tutored by Brett Favre didn't hurt either!

In my opinion Aaron is one of the 3 best QB's in the league right now!

I agree about being top 3 or at least top 5. But, I heard Brett didn't spend too much time with him. I think he's doing it on his own.

Just being on the same sideline and having the same QB's coach though, he had to learn alot, reading defenses and the like ...... know what I'm trying to say?

Yep, just didn't want Favre to get credit where it wasn't due. That's one of the reasons they let him go. He wasn't a real "sharing" kind of guy.

Why does he always look stoned?

And yet the 49ers passed on him, a local guy, in order to select Alex Smith.

Another fine personel move by the York family.

When the '49'ers passed on him in 2005, Mike McCarthy was their Offensive Coordinator. Explain that one to me.

Okay but how would any of the others do that you mention? Rodgers is better than the other Manning imo, as good as Peyton imo and better than Big Ben imo. But hey we all have opinions. Maybe top 5 then?
