This year the MSU team is expected to play well, thats why the yare ranked 11th. Last Year they played well losing a close game to then the number 1 team, Ohio State, 66-64. This year they are expected to play well, not work there way up. It is going to be tough. The schedule Izzo has put together is not a tough schedule so watch them win many games but when it is crcunh time, might not have the stregnth to play well against a good oppenet.

New Strategy : Last year, the spartans lacked depth, this year they have depth included Sr. Drew Naymick, and the coaching staff also picked up three key freshman who debut in College Basketball. Also the addition of freshman Chris Allen, Kalin Lucas, and Durrell Summers will alow Neitzel to play fewer minutes to preserve him for later down the season.
