Rex Ryan and his crew talked the talk and now can walk the walk , that is until Sunday . A word of advice for you Rex and company act like you've been there before even if you haven't . All the taunting of the fans in the end zone , cartwheeling , backflips , arms spreaded like their flying , I know your guys were happy but that was just classless the way they were carrying on . Look at the winners of the past the Colts , Pats , Cowboys , Steelers , 49'ers , Giants , Packers , Bears , just to name a few . Win with respect , dignity , and class , not by clowning do it in the locker room . There are a lot of young impressionable kids watching you guys and hopefully someone will tell them that's just not the way to celebrate no matter how much you dislike your opponent . One other bit of advice Rex and your Jets , don't go to Pittsburgh talking S#!+ to all them brothers on that Steeler team because the results may be different . So congrats to the Jets just show some class next time you win if there is a next time this year .

Classless? Just cause they have fun when they win doesnt mean they are classless

January 17, 2011  12:21 PM ET

The Jets beat the Steelers the last time they played, they have the right to talk as much sh/t as they want

Life is short. Enjoy the moment. Tomorrow you could be dead.

Never been a Jet fan and never liked Buddy Ryan. For some crazy reason Rex has been growing on me. Maybe it's because he and the team seem to have fun. That's hard to do today in the No Fun League. Besides, it got Bill to give one of the best quotes I've ever heard from a coach! I'm still laughing at that!!

Classless? Do you mean like walking off the field without shaking your opponents hand? (See Patriots after loss yesterday). Do you mean pointing your finger at the opposing teams bench (see taunting in NFL rule book) after throwing a TD pass leading a 38 - 3 game?

Ryan is Ryan and has been for 2 years with the Jets. Fast fact for ya.... since joining the Jets, Ryan is 24-13.....Belichik 24-11 overall and playing the same comp. Also, Ryan 4 - 1 in the playoffs ALL ON THE ROAD.....Belichik 0 - 2 BOTH AT HOME.

How ARE those grapes?

He loss to Indy last year and it hadn't been for all the injuries to the Colts team he wouldn't have won this year in Indy . Yes they acted like clowns yesterday let's see if they do that against the Steelers .

January 17, 2011  10:27 PM ET

this is a different generation of players..... now, some of the players today do still have class, but the majority do not really. so, it's hard to compare to the really super teams of the past. but class or not, the jets swaggered onto the pats backyard and gave them a beating. many would never have thought this would happen (myself included..... yes, crow tastes ok) but it did and you gotta give congrats where due...... the jets deserve praise after that win. now, let's hope the steelers can end their run and we get a good SB with the packers.

January 18, 2011  01:07 AM ET

Act like they been there before?!?!?!?

You gotta be kidding me. The patriots acted like complete **** after they beat the Chargers in the 2007 playoffs, and brady and company had THREE rings and the league was changing rules for them by then. They stood in the middle of the field and mocked Sean Merrimans sack dance and carried on and on and on. like a bunch of Jack_sses.

Act like they been there? The Spy-Gatriots don't have any more class than any other team in the league.

Think about this sports fans. ANYONE can enjoy a win, how do you handle a loss? Especially after you have rubbed it in peoples faces before.

SUCKS DONIT!

A serious case of sour grapes.

"Coulda" "Woulda" "Shoulda" ...... Colts lost. Move on. I had to deal with it last year when the Jets gave the Colts the game. Your turn.

They won a HUGE game on the Road against a team that not only trash talks, taunts and shows up their opponent, but rubs it in in a 45 - 3 game and you expected the Jets to walk off the field as if they had just read the Wall Street Journal and are carrying brief cases? GET REAL!!!

BTW..... if you are going to call it..... call it both ways. Patriots were EQUALLY as "classless" (as you put it) after that game. Walking off without shaking hands (ala Belichik). The ONLY player I heard give accolades to the Jets for their play was Wes Welker. The rest were about how bad they played. Even Belichik (no surprise) wouldn't admit that the Jets simply outmanned and outplayed the Pats.

January 18, 2011  10:46 AM ET

So, when Brady celebrated by staring at the Jets' bench after a TD in the previous game (Pats' 45-3 victory), was that classless? Or does the NFL's Golden Boy, the one the rules were changed for in order to protect his pretty body, get a pass? I see people in all sports doing all sorts of things that could be considered classless. Baseball pitchers pumping their fists and screaming, hitters standing in the batter's box admiring a home run, etc. Don't get on the Jets just because you hate the fact that they beat big bad New England. Your take on the injuries is lame. Indy won their division with all those injuries so why couldn't they win against a team starting a second-year QB with a rating in the sixties? The Jets were missing their signal caller on defense ( FS Jim Leonhard) and one of the best nose tackles in the game (Kris Jenkins) but they got the job done. Reggie Wayne caught over 100 balls this season. Why didn't Manning target him even once? The Colts played at home and had the lead with less than a minute left and choked. No excuses. You don't have to like the Jets but the facts won't change:they are in the AFC Championship for the second straight year. What you call class can take a hike. We'll take a win any which way. And you know you would too. Sour grapes don't make a good whine.

January 18, 2011  11:47 AM ET

Dont forget the snowangels the Patriots did all over the field after the "Tuck Rule" game.....classy. Im not a fan of either team, but I dont have a problem with what the Jet players did. They were excited....no one gave them a shot, it was a big deal, so celebrate! People used to think it was classless for Giants players to dump Gatorade on Parcells, but now, its a part of sports culture. Maybe the Patriots should be concerned about the THEY DIDNT DO, rather than what the Jets. Get over it.

"So, when Brady celebrated by staring at the Jets bench after a TD in the previous game (45-2 Pats victory), was that classless?"

New Bx. Bomber, great point. Maybe there's some weird double standard that doesn't apply to Brady?

January 18, 2011  02:00 PM ET

Oh yeah, and the answer to your question is...H*LL yes Brady's action were classless back in week 13.

January 18, 2011  03:33 PM ET

The Pats don't have a leg to stand on here. Nothing more classless than running up scores, which the Pats do.

Yeah, with Miller and Polamalu out of the lineup.

Expect this game Sunday to be a whole hell of a lot different.

January 18, 2011  06:01 PM ET

Quit your bitching, remember 2006?

Patriot players doing the lights out dance after narrowly beating the Chargers? Not to mention running up the score every chance they get.

So soon you forget just how classless the Pats organization is.

January 18, 2011  06:04 PM ET

"arms spreaded like their flying"

that's classless? They're the JETS, bud.

What was classless was the Pats doing the "airplane" after the 45-3 win.

Get a clue.

January 18, 2011  07:25 PM ET

I can't stand the the Patcheatots .
