Let me ask you a few questions

Have you ever disagreed with something that most of the world treats as a fact?

Do you ever find yourself wondering if you're the only person on the planet that likes a certain movie?

How about a TV show, book, band, or song?

Maybe you find yourself being the only person who finds a certain someone attractive?

Has the only response you've ever received been WTF?

Now if you answered "yes" to any of those questions, let me ask you this

Do you find it hard to have any kind of discussion about your views without somebody automatically suggesting you're an idiot to do so?

Do you find it impossible to have any kind of rational debate about it?

If you answered "yes" to either of those, then I have an offer for you (but it has to be sports related in this instance).

I'm proposing my WTF Challenge.

If you've got a TD topic that you think is gauged by the majority of the public as impossible to argue, but you don't agree with the majority, then this is right down your alley.

Example: The Bulls would've won two more titles in the 90s had Jordan not retired the first time.

In this challenge, I ask that you submit me the topic and I can guarantee you that I'll give you a straightforward and open-minded debate about it.

In other words, my TD arguments won't do any of the following:

* Make it seem that you're out-of-your-mind

* Call you a bunch of names and submit you to ridicule

* Treat the debate as if it's completely reasonable, because you know what, an opinion is just that, no matter how out-of-place it is.

But Jolly, doesn't this just seem like a plea for ridiculously easy TDs for you to win?

Ah, but here's the kicker.

I'll let you choose which side you want to argue. Yes, that means I'll argue for the "loony" side.

Yeah, but Jolly, I thought this was a chance for me to clear my mind? Why would I want you to argue it?

Well, sometimes its just really nice to see/hear a good discussion about it.

But if you want to stick to your guns and argue the side, I'd be willing to give you the solid debate that you want.

It's completely up to you.

Of course I enjoy the competition and trying to win is the goal, but I let others decide how good I am. You and I are more then a win/loss record.

Ok Jolly, but what if it's a hockey subject?

Yeah, there are topics I'm not really able to give a fair discussion on, but I will search Fannation for somebody who can and will give you one.

Anyways, it's just an idea I'm throwing out there.

I won't be able to participate in this until the 26th of January, but feel free to FM me.

FM will be the only way I will respond to any challenges.
