What are thinking, Lovie Smith?
You've got your third-string quarterback in the game and have just scored a touchdown to cut the opposition's lead to seven points. Your defence forces a three-and-out and you've moved down deep into your opponent's end with under a minute to go.
Your receiver gets out of bounds to set up a third and three. Sounds great.
The clock's stopped. You're in good position. Your third stringer is playing with confidence. You've still got a chance.
So you screw things up so badly you have to take a time out before your next play. Then, you send in something as stupid as a flanker-end-around? On third and short with just one time out left? Deep in the other team's territory?
Lovie, give me a break. It was bad enough when you punted from Green Bay's 31 yard line earlier in the game. Bad enough when you put Hanie in just slightly too early so that you couldn't put any one else in.
But a wasted time out and then an idiotic end-around? What were you thinking?
Wow. That was one badly coached NFC championship game.
Meanwhile, I'll tell you one thing. I would pay real money to listen to Martina McBride sing the American national anthem any day of the week. I don't care if the Steeler/Jet game is a stinker (and goodness knows, at this point mid-way through the first quarter, it's a fantastic game): Martina has made this must-see TV for me.

The CBS crew noted that Coach Smith replaced Collins with Hanie before the end of the 3rd quarter which would not have allowed any of the other Bear quarterbacks come into the game in case Hanie would have come down with injury.
