It's getting pretty obvious that the Knicks will land Carmelo. My only hope is that valuable piecesR of the puzzle aren't given away to land him. Wilson Chandler can go though he has had a good year and still has some upside. Anthony Randolph can go as he has been unable to crack the rotation. Eddy Curry's contract can go just cause its Eddy Curry. Kelena Azebuike can go because we have yet to see him in a Knick uniform. Any draft picks can go also but that's it.
Galinari and Fields have to be retained and not dealt. Galo has tremendous upside as does Fields so I am hoping they are not included in the deal. I would rather the Knicks waited till the off-season and signed Melo then but with Dolan pushing the buttons it seems like they are not going to wait.

i think youd have to keep chandler. he's still young and has plenty of upside. good starter. would be one of the best 6th men in the league tho

It's starting to sound like either Gallo or Fields will have to be dealt in a Carmelo deal since the Nuggets are not so sure about Chandler's health. Honestly, between the two I'd rather keep Fields.

Yeah if I had a choice between Galo or Fields I would move Galo also. Chandler is a restricted free agent at the end of the year and I can't see the Knicks offering him more than a year because of the hit on the cap that he would create.
